The blocker you never have to turn off. Every other blocker is opt-out: Instagram is open, and you block it when you want a break. Slowpebble is opt-in: what you picked is blocked, and you ask when you want a few minutes. Say why, an AI reads it privately, and the app or site opens for a bit, then closes again on its own. Adult content is blocked completely. Blocking something is instant. Unblocking anything, or turning Slowpebble off, takes 24 hours, and nothing makes it sooner. That delay is the whole point: you never have to turn it off, because everything you would turn it off for, you can ask for instead. WHAT IT BLOCKS • Apps you choose with Apple's Screen Time picker • Adult and proxy sites, from a list we maintain and update • Presets — everyday sites with an adult corner, social media, streaming, gaming, gambling, shopping, and free movie sites — each a switch • Any site you add yourself HOW THE DELAY WORKS Every request to weaken your setup waits 24 hours before it takes effect, and the app shows you the exact time it will happen. There is no confirm-twice override and no support address that can rush it. We built ourselves out of the loop on purpose. SAFE SEARCH, EVERYWHERE Slowpebble offers an encrypted DNS setting, installed with Apple's own DNS-settings API and switched on by you in Settings. It locks Google, YouTube and DuckDuckGo to safe mode in every browser and app, blocks the search engines that can't be locked, and stops image-search results from loading. Turning it off in Settings raises your access wait; opening the app puts it back. WHAT WE DON'T SEE No account. No sign-in. Slowpebble never records which sites you open or which apps you launch. There is no history to leak or sell because none is written. Your settings stay on your device and in your own iCloud. Slowpebble needs Screen Time permission, which you grant once during setup, and works on your device without an account. Slowpebble offers auto-renewable subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
