Carpenter is a Bible commentary app built for the everyday reader. It pairs every chapter of Scripture with Matthew Henry's trusted commentary so you can study any passage and actually understand what you're reading. The full commentary is included free, with no ads, no account required, and no internet connection needed after download. TWO READING MODES Switch between Matthew Henry's original 18th-century text and a modern English paraphrase. Read in whichever voice speaks to you. BROWSE THE FULL BIBLE All 66 books, every chapter, both Old and New Testament. Tap into any chapter and start reading. SEARCH SCRIPTURE AND COMMENTARY Look up any verse reference or keyword. Search results span both the biblical text and English commentary, so you can find what you need whether you remember the exact wording or the general idea. DAILY READING Open the app each day to a fresh passage with its commentary, ready to read. A simple way to build a consistent habit without a rigid plan. BOOKMARKS AND HIGHLIGHTS (Premium) Save chapters you want to revisit. Long-press any verse to highlight individual words or phrases in color. Your bookmarks and highlights stay with you across sessions. PERSONAL PRAYERS (Premium) Write prayers in your own words and weave in Scripture verses and commentary excerpts directly from the text. Share them with others or keep them private. DESIGNED FOR READING Carpenter uses warm serif typography, comfortable spacing, and light or dark themes to keep the focus on the text. Adjust font size to your preference. Premium features (prayers, bookmarks, and highlights) are available with a single one-time purchase. No subscriptions.

About

MannaForMe

Features

MannaForMe is a free Bible app built around three things: reading Scripture, asking real questions about it, and seeing where it happened. READ Six translations, one tap apart — Berean Standard Bible, World English Bible, King James Version, NET, NIV and NKJV. Adjustable text size, chapter-by-chapter navigation across book boundaries, and your place saved so you can pick up where you left off on any device. ASK Ask about a passage, a person, or a question of faith, and get an answer drawn from Scripture and named commentary — with every source shown, so you can check it rather than take it on trust. If an answer leans on Matthew Henry or Keil-Delitzsch, you can open the passage it drew from and judge for yourself. SEE Maps of the places in the chapter you are reading, plus more than a hundred public-domain and openly licensed illustrations and maps: the tabernacle and its furnishings, Gustave Dore's engravings, purpose-made maps of the Gospels and Paul's journeys. Every image carries its source and license. NOTES AND BOOKMARKS Keep notes anchored to a passage, bookmark what you want to return to, and search the text. FREE, AND STAYING THAT WAY No ads. No subscription. No paid tier, now or later. No trackers or analytics of any kind. MannaForMe is funded by donations on the website, never in the app. WHAT IT WILL NOT DO It will not counsel you. When a message suggests someone may be in danger, the app answers with real helplines instead of commentary — and that check runs before any AI sees the message, so it cannot be skipped by an outage or a model getting it wrong. Your conversations and notes are private to your account and are never sold, shared, or used to train anything. You can delete your account, and everything attached to it, from inside the app.
