Finite vs Life Sunset

How much time do you really have left? Finite is a memento mori app that transforms how you see time. Instead of counting up, it counts down — showing you the days remaining in your day, your year, and your life. Not to scare you, but to wake you up. VISUALIZE YOUR TIME LEFT • Day Countdown — See how many hours are left today, and how much of your awake time has already passed. Every glance is a reminder: this day is finite. • 365-Day Heatmap — Watch your year progress unfold across a beautiful grid. Days lived turn dark. Days remaining glow with possibility. • Life Map — Enter your birth date, see your life in weeks. A single screen showing how far you've come and how many days remaining stretch ahead. A personal death clock — not to predict, but to put life in perspective. • Event Countdowns — Track the moments that matter. Birthday countdown, retirement countdown, bucket list deadlines, or any date you're counting the days until. WHY A LIFE COUNTDOWN? Ancient Stoic philosophers practiced memento mori — the meditation on mortality — not out of fear, but as the ultimate tool for living fully. When you see time passing on screen, something shifts. You stop scrolling. You start doing. Finite isn't a death clock that tries to guess when you'll die. It's a life perspective tool. A daily reminder that your time is limited, beautiful, and worth spending well. DESIGNED TO CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE • Minimalist, distraction-free interface • Daily progress view to track your awake time • Year progress bar that updates every day • Life countdown based on your age and life expectancy • Event countdown widgets for dates that matter • No ads. No social features. Just you and your time. Our days are finite. In the rush of life, we forget that. Sunset puts your remaining days on your home screen - a quiet reminder to live with intention. HOW IT WORKS • Set your expected life's final sunset. • Choose how you want to see your remaining time - days, sunsets, or percentage of life lived etc. • Add the widget to your home screen • Live with that number in view No accounts. No notifications. No tracking. Just a number that changes every day. Built on the idea that awareness of mortality isn't morbid, it's clarifying. When you see your number, the trivial falls away and what matters comes into focus. "That it will never come again is what makes life so sweet." — Emily Dickinson
