Yoon Maps vs Jbarli

Yoon is the navigation and addressing app built for Africa. Open the map and find your way — even where street names don't exist or change between languages. Yoon was designed from day one for places where traditional mapping apps fall short: dirt roads in Nouakchott, neighborhoods known by local landmarks instead of postal codes, regions absent from the world's main maps. KEY FEATURES Africa-first navigation • Turn-by-turn driving, walking, and cycling directions on roads other apps don't know • Public transit routing — bus lines, fares, and timetables across Nouakchott and beyond • Real-time alerts for service disruptions and route changes • Background navigation keeps your route updating when the screen is locked Multilingual by default • Full interface in العربية, français, and English • Place names rendered in your chosen language with proper Arabic right-to-left layout • Searchable in any of the three languages Built-in offline mode • Download regions for offline search and navigation when you lose signal • Works in the desert, in remote villages, or anywhere connectivity drops Crowdsourced addressing • Add an address for your home, your shop, or a place that doesn't exist on other maps • Suggest edits to existing places — verified by local moderators • Report inaccurate or inappropriate content with a tap Discover nearby • Restaurants, pharmacies, fuel stations, ATMs, and more • Opening hours, contact info, and walking distance at a glance Save and share • Bookmark your home, workplace, and favorite spots • Send a location, place, or route to anyone via WhatsApp, SMS, or any messaging app PRIVACY Location is used only to show you on the map and provide turn-by-turn navigation. Background location is enabled only while a navigation session is active. Sign-in is optional — browse, search, and navigate as a guest. Sign in with Apple is supported.
