ChordBloom turns music theory into a garden. Chords bloom as petals around the key you're in โ tap to hear them, wander to neighboring keys, and watch harmony make sense visually. EXPLORE HARMONY BY TOUCH Diatonic chords, the circle of fifths, relative and parallel keys, tritone substitutions, modal interchange โ each view lays the theory out as petals you can play. Long-press to cycle extensions (7ths, 9ths, 13ths), choose close, open, or spread voicings, and phrase chords as blocks, strums, or arpeggios. REAL SYNTHESIS, ON DEVICE A full SuperCollider synth engine runs right on your phone alongside classic synth voices โ warm pads, plucks, bells, keys, and ambient textures. Every note is synthesized live, and it all works completely offline. AI IMPROVISATION Let the built-in improviser play melodies over your chord changes while you drive the harmony. SAVE YOUR PROGRESSIONS Collect chords into palettes and build progressions you can come back to. MIDI OUTPUT โ OPTIONAL UNLOCK Turn ChordBloom into a chord controller for your whole studio: a one-time in-app purchase unlocks BLE MIDI to hardware synths and CoreMIDI to DAWs and other iOS music apps. No account. No ads. No data collected.
Laryngeal
Read full descriptionHide full description
Laryngeal is a musical instrument modeled on your own vocal tract. Touch the square, and you're playing with resonance itself โ the same physics that turns your throat, tongue, and mouth into an acoustic filter every time you speak. The fundamental stays fixed; your finger moves two filters that shape the vowel, the way your mouth normally would. Trace the surface and you're improvising with an instrument built to be played, not just heard. Look away, and it starts playing back at you โ a second, slightly detuned voice echoes what you did seconds ago. Leave it alone entirely, and it never quite goes silent: it drifts, breathes, and occasionally sounds on its own. Underneath the sound is a small piece of linguistics. The five reference points on the pad aren't arbitrary โ they mark /i, e, a, o, u/, the single most common five-vowel pattern across the world's languages. The name borrows from Laryngeal Theory: the idea that a class of sounds long vanished from Proto-Indo-European still lingers today as the color of a vowel. Tap "how it works" to read the rest, whenever you're curious. โ One drone, two parallel formant filters, fixed fundamental โ A shadow voice that replays your own recent movement, delayed and detuned โ Generative drift โ never left in complete silence โ Minimal, monochrome interface: play first, read later โ Free. No ads, no in-app purchases, no account. Headphones recommended.
