CAPE Dashboard puts four time-tested stock market valuation metrics at your fingertips, with historical data stretching back to 1871. How expensive is the stock market right now? Instead of guessing, check the data. CAPE Dashboard computes four complementary valuation indicators and shows where today's reading falls in over 150 years of market history. THE METRICS CAPE Ratio (Shiller P/E) — Developed by Nobel laureate Robert Shiller, the Cyclically Adjusted Price-to-Earnings ratio divides the S&P 500 by ten years of inflation-adjusted earnings. It smooths out short-term earnings swings and is one of the most widely cited long-term valuation measures. Trailing P/E — The classic price-to-earnings ratio using the most recent 12 months of reported earnings. More responsive to current conditions than CAPE, but also more volatile. Dividend Yield — Annual dividends paid by S&P 500 companies divided by the index price. One of the oldest and most reliable long-term return predictors. Buffett Indicator — Warren Buffett called it "probably the best single measure of where valuations stand." It compares total US stock market capitalization to GDP. Powered by Federal Reserve (FRED) data. FEATURES Dashboard view with color-coded valuation bands for all four metrics Interactive historical charts for each metric — zoom from 10 years to the full 150+ year history Percentile rankings showing where today's values fall relative to all recorded history Key statistics: current value, historical median, mean, all-time highs and lows Educational content explaining each metric, what high and low readings mean, and important caveats Optional live price updates via Alpha Vantage (free API key, 25 requests/day) Home screen widgets (small and medium) for a quick glance at current valuations Dark mode support No account required — works immediately on launch DATA SOURCES Historical data derived from Robert Shiller's publicly available dataset (Yale University), updated monthly. Buffett Indicator computed from Wilshire 5000 and GDP data via the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED). Optional live S&P 500 estimates via Alpha Vantage. Follow the disclosed trades of the investors who move markets — Warren Buffett, Seth Klarman, Bill Ackman, Michael Burry, Ken Griffin — and of the members of Congress who must report what they buy and sell. See every position they hold, sized. See every move they made last quarter. Then see what those companies are worth. FOLLOW THE PEOPLE, NOT THE NOISE Browse by style — value, growth, activist, macro, quant — or search by name or fund. Tap the star to follow anyone; whoever you follow pins to the top of the tab and travels to every device you sign in on. Switch on guru move alerts and get a push when one of them files a change. INSIDE EVERY PORTFOLIO Open an investor and you get the whole book from the latest 13F: assets under management, position count, how much sits in the top ten, and the quarter it covers. Every holding carries its dollar value, its share of the portfolio and its change since last quarter — filter to the adds, the trims, the new positions or the exits. An allocation ring shows the shape of the book, and the 13F-HR on EDGAR is one tap away. On any company page, see which tracked investors already own it. WHERE THE MONEY MOVED One card a quarter sums up what the people you track did together: the tickers most of them bought, the tickers most of them sold, how many were on each side, and the boldest single bet, in dollars. WHAT CONGRESS DISCLOSED Members of Congress must report their stock trades under the STOCK Act. Open a member and read the Periodic Transaction Reports: date, ticker, buy or sell, the disclosed dollar range, and whether the account was a spouse's or joint — plus a 90-day tally of buys, sells and notional, and a link to the official House or Senate filing. WHAT THE BUSINESS IS WORTH DeepValues sets the price beside a discounted-cash-flow value range — a low, a middle and a high estimate, across three methods (Cash Flow, Buffett's Owner Earnings, Damodaran) — says plainly how far above or below fair value the price sits, and shows the arithmetic. Go deeper with a Deep Value Intelligence briefing: five AI analysts debate the bull case against the bear case and hand back a sourced verdict you can read, hear or watch. SEC FILINGS IN PLAIN ENGLISH Browse a company's 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and proxy filings; tap one for a plain-English AI summary: the one-liner, the bullets, what changed, the risk flags. Ask for a recap of the latest earnings call, and a push when a stock on your watchlist files. READ THE MARKET Is the market historically cheap or expensive? Six gauges, each in decades of context: the Buffett Indicator, Shiller PE (CAPE), VIX, AAII sentiment, the 10-year Treasury and the Fed's balance sheet — alongside the FOMC's own words. Get alerted when one crosses into a new zone. AND EVERYTHING ELSE A watchlist showing the metrics you choose. Ten years of financials. Revenue by segment. Widgets for your watchlist, recent valuations, the guru digest, market health and the Buffett Indicator, and a Live Activity that follows a running briefing in the Dynamic Island. Ask Siri to open a company or add a ticker. On Apple Watch, check your watchlist and wear the Buffett Indicator on your face. Buffett Lens, an assistant that remembers the theses you write. The Deep Values podcast. A journal for your reasoning. A sticker pack for iMessage. In 20 languages. WHO WE WORK FOR Wall Street works for Wall Street. DeepValues works only for you.
