Daily Geist is a tool for learning the works of German philosophers, one short passage a day. Each bite gives you: • The original German, taken from the first edition and kept in its old spelling (Muth, daß, Blüthe) • Our own translation in English, Traditional Chinese or Korean • A 60-second explanation of the idea • One concrete way to use it today Schools so far: German Idealism (Kant, Hegel), Existentialism (Nietzsche, Schopenhauer), the Enlightenment (Kant's "What is Enlightenment?", Lichtenberg), Hermeneutics (Schleiermacher, Dilthey) and, new in 1.2, Phenomenology (Husserl, Scheler, Stein). New schools arrive in regular updates. Every quote names its source: the work, the year of the first edition and the page. Each thinker has a hand-drawn line portrait, and each idea a small drawing that explains it. On iPhone Duo, hold the phone half open to read a bite like a book, or stand it up as a tent for a calm display of today's bite. Calm by design: no ads, no tracking and no feed. The app works offline, and you don't need an account. Sign in with Apple or an email code only if you want your progress back after a reinstall or on a new phone. The app sends counts of which features are used, and you can switch that off in About. One optional daily reminder at 8:00. Pocket the bites you have read and come back tomorrow for the next one.
