Difficult books are worth reading. Dense prose, unfamiliar ideas, and older language should not keep great books out of reach. Clarify is an AI ebook reader for iPhone and iPad that helps you understand challenging books without leaving the page. Browse 100+ included classics, follow a guided philosophy path, or import your own EPUB. Read the originalβ€”not a summary. Ask for help only when you need it, compare clearer wording with the original, and keep reading. AUTO SIMPLIFY AS YOU READ Turn on Simplify and clearer wording appears directly in the reader as you move through the book. Clarify works progressively, paragraph by paragraph, and is designed to preserve the book’s structure and formatting. The original text is always one tap away. SIMPLIFY A PASSAGE Select a difficult sentence or part of a paragraph to see the same idea in clearer language. Switch between the simplified version and the original whenever you want. EXPLAIN THE IDEA Need more than a rewrite? Select a passage for a short answer followed by a fuller explanation informed by nearby text and book context. Understand the ideaβ€”not just the words. 100+ CLASSICSβ€”OR YOUR OWN BOOKS Browse and download more than 100 classics across fiction, science, philosophy, history, poetry, adventure, and drama. Already have something you want to understand? Import your own EPUB files and use the same Simplify and Explain tools. GUIDED PHILOSOPHY PATHS Not sure where to begin? Clarify recommends a starting book and related works to explore next: β€’ Understand Stoicismβ€”six essential works featuring Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, and Seneca β€’ Ethics & the Good Life β€’ Power & Government MADE FOR FOCUSED READING β€’ Reading progress saved automatically β€’ Table of contents and chapter navigation β€’ Adjustable text size β€’ Light, dark, and system themes β€’ Downloaded and imported books stored on your device β€’ Core reading works offline β€’ No account required Stay with the original. Get help when you need it. Keep reading.

About

Readmon

Features

Readmon reads the books you already own, out loud, in a voice that sounds like a person. On a night when your eyes are tired, or with your hands in the sink, the story keeps going. β–  Ten AI voices that sound like people Not a robot. Choose from five female and five male voices. Add a reading style that fits the text β€” novel, news β€” and Readmon remembers which voice you used for each book. The AI voices support 31 languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, German, Greek, Spanish, Estonian, Finnish, French, Hindi, Croatian, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese. Languages not on this list cannot be read by the AI voices. Chinese is not on the list. If the language you read is not on the list, please do not buy the AI voices. You can listen in that language with the system voices built into iOS, and everything else in the app is free. Dialogue is read in a different voice from the narration. When lines run back and forth, two voices take turns, so it sounds like a conversation. β–  On your iPhone, with no internet The narration is generated entirely on your iPhone. It keeps working when the connection drops, and on a plane. You download a voice once. After that, no internet is needed. β–  The files you already have TXT, EPUB and PDF, and comics too. 7z, CBZ, CBR, ZIP and RAR all open. Bring books in from Calibre-Web, OPDS, WebDAV, Dropbox or OneDrive. PDFs and scanned books are recognized on the device and read aloud as well. β–  Comfortable while you read Sleep timer β€” it stops on its own if you fall asleep Lock screen controls β€” turn pages and pause without taking it out of your pocket Repeat a passage β€” go back over the part you missed Pronunciation dictionary β€” make names and unusual words sound the way you want Page-turn animation β€” pages that turn like paper β–  Not a subscription Buy the AI voices once and they stay yours. Nothing to cancel, nothing to pay again next month. Listen free for 30 minutes before you buy. Everything else works without buying anything.
