Violearn teaches you to read violin sheet music, then listens while you play it. LEARN THE NOTES, IN ORDER A guided path from open strings to the full fingerboard, in short steps. The first step shows you where each note is; the next ones take the help away and mix in notes you have already learned, so they stay fresh; the last checks what stuck. Fifteen lessons, one string at a time, then the keys of D, G, A, E, C, F and B flat. PRACTICE THAT TARGETS WHAT YOU MISS Every answer is remembered. The daily review quietly serves you more of the notes you get wrong and fewer of the ones you have already mastered, so ten minutes goes exactly where it is needed. PRACTISE YOUR OWN MUSIC Bring in the piece your teacher gave you. Photograph the printed page and Violearn reads the notes for you; check what it read and fix anything it got wrong. Or import a MusicXML file from any notation app. Either way, Violearn builds a practice plan for it: a warm-up for what the piece asks, its own scale, its hardest bars slowly and back up to tempo, then the whole piece. A WHOLE PRACTICE SESSION, GUIDED Tune up, warm up, scales, then real music — in order, with the clock running. Today's practice starts from the plan you did last time. Nine traditional pieces are included, from Hot Cross Buns to Pachelbel's Canon. SHARE YOUR WEEK Send your teacher a picture of your week's practice: minutes each day, where you are in the lessons, the notes to work on and your hardest bars. PLAY, AND BE HEARD Violearn listens to your violin through the microphone and follows you note by note as the music scrolls past. Set how strict it should be: forgiving while you are finding the positions, strict when you are working on intonation. A TUNER THAT MEANS IT A chromatic tuner accurate to the cent, with a tap-to-hear reference for each string. Calibrate to your own instrument so every note is judged against your violin rather than a textbook. WATCH YOURSELF IMPROVE Accuracy for every note on the staff, daily practice streaks, and a "needs work" list that shrinks as you learn. BUILT FOR PRACTISING No account. No setup. Works on iPhone and iPad, in portrait or landscape — prop the iPad on a music stand and read from it. YOUR PRACTICE STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE Recordings are never stored or sent anywhere. The microphone is used only while you are actually playing. Music you add is stored only on your device; when you ask Violearn to read a photo, a picture of each line of music is sent to Google's Gemini to be read. —— Terms of Use: https://sfanale.github.io/violearn-site/terms.html Privacy Policy: https://sfanale.github.io/violearn-site/

Free. No ads, no accounts, no subscriptions. SightRead teaches you to read rhythm and notes the way music schools do: with Kodály syllables, one small step at a time. RHYTHM, TAUGHT AS A LANGUAGE Every rhythm has a word. Ta is a quarter note. Ti-Ti is two eighths. Say it, then tap it. SightRead shows real notation with a moving cursor, counts you in, and scores every tap: perfect, great, good, or miss, with early/late feedback so you know which way to fix it. 89 LEVELS ACROSS 23 STAGES From single quarter notes to sixteenths, dotted rhythms, rests, ties, syncopation, triplets, and 2/4, 3/4, 6/4 and 6/8 time. Each stage introduces exactly one new idea, with a short audio lesson the first time you meet it. Earn stars to unlock the next level, or go back for a three-star run. THEN, THE NOTES 29 levels of note reading: treble clef from Middle C, sharps and flats, bass clef, ledger lines, and timed rounds. A note lands on the staff, you name it, you hear it. Notes Practice lets you drill exactly the notes you choose: clef, range, accidentals, timed or endless. BUILT FOR REAL PRACTICE • Rhythm Lab: build the bars you're stuck on from a palette of note values, listen, practice, save • Free Practice at any tempo, with whole-stage mixes so patterns never repeat the same way • Tap calibration for Bluetooth headphones, plus Relaxed / Normal / Strict timing windows • Speed control on every level • Listen-first mode: hear the rhythm before you play it • Daily streak, calendar and stats, with an optional once-a-day reminder • Haptics on every tap • Designed for iPhone and iPad • English, Español, Português, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, 日本語, 简体中文; note names as C D E, Do Re Mi, or C D E H FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS Five minutes a day is enough. Music students use it to prepare for theory exams and auditions; teachers use it in class and for homework. It works offline, needs no account, and collects no data. SightRead is free and stays free.
