Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: DivvyUp at 5.0 against Control's 4.2. DivvyUp also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2). Control's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (10 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

DivvyUp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Control has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 96% of Control's written reviews are positive against 100% of DivvyUp's.
Control ships an update every 3 days, DivvyUp fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
