A small reptile room on the edge of Denggreong village. You've just brought home an egg. ■ Raise it from the egg Hatch a leopard gecko and raise it from baby to juvenile to adult. Its size and pattern change as it grows. ■ Care like a real keeper - Set the warm and cool sides with a heat mat, and humidity with misting - Crickets, mealworms, dubia roaches and waxworms each feed differently - Change the water, clean the substrate, and give it a humid hide when it sheds - The weather outside shifts slowly over several days Numbers in the game are game values, not real husbandry advice. ■ Time flows while you're away The terrarium keeps going even when the app is closed. When you come back, one card tells you what happened. Your gecko never dies — late care lowers its condition, and care brings it back. ■ A 2.5D terrarium Look down into a glass terrarium in 2.5D. Your gecko hides, drinks, sleeps by day and wanders at night. ■ Also - Open a second enclosure and keep two geckos - Daily missions, attendance gifts and achievements - No sign-up needed, playable offline (linking a Modoo ID is optional) Contains optional rewarded ads you choose to watch. No in-app purchases. A game by Modoo Games.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Repting at none against VirtualHamster's 1. Repting also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 6 weeks). VirtualHamster's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and device support (4 vs 2). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
