Formulary+ vs Formula Kit

Formulary+ is not another formula list. It is a complete computational reference — 4,867 formulas across 16 disciplines, each with an interactive solver, evaluator, or worked example that lets you compute, verify, and learn, not just look things up. Every equation is rendered in real-time LaTeX (KaTeX), not screenshots. Every variable is defined with its SI unit. And every formula you open is one you can actually use. Built-in tools: a unit converter covering 16 quantities and about 150 units, and a table of 61 physical constants at full CODATA 2022 precision. Both are free for everyone. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT Interactive Solver — Pick any variable, enter the rest, get the answer with full step-by-step solution. Covers 1,500+ formulas across all 16 disciplines. Evaluator — For identities, bounds, and series: plug in numbers and see both sides computed side by side. You see not just that a claim holds, but by how much. Worked Examples — For complex equations (tensors, PDEs, procedures): a real computation with real numbers, showing every substitution step. Personal Notes — Write directly on any formula. Export all notes as Markdown — your work is never locked in. 4,727 FORMULAS · 16 DISCIPLINES · 150 SUBCATEGORIES Mathematics — 356 formulas Algebra · Calculus · Linear Algebra · Differential Equations · Statistics & Probability · Number Theory · Discrete Math Physics — 448 formulas Classical Mechanics · Thermodynamics · Electromagnetism · Optics · Waves · Quantum Mechanics · Relativity · Fluid Mechanics Chemistry — 241 formulas Stoichiometry · Thermochemistry · Kinetics · Equilibrium · Electrochemistry · Quantum Chemistry Geometry — 229 formulas Euclidean · Analytic · Differential · Topology Mechanical Engineering — 342 formulas Computer Science — 355 formulas Electrical Engineering — 319 formulas Civil Engineering — 343 formulas Biology & Biomedical — 203 formulas Environmental Engineering — 311 formulas Geological Engineering — 271 formulas Geochemistry — 204 formulas Geophysics — 215 formulas Chemical Engineering — 325 formulas Meteorology & Atmospheric Science — 296 formulas Astronomy & Astrophysics — 269 formulas BUILT FOR REAL WORK Real LaTeX rendering — KaTeX, not static images Full variable definitions with SI units Smart search across 4,727 entries Favorites — build your personal formula collection Related formulas — discover connected equations Share as LaTeX, plain text, or rendered image Export notes as Markdown Backup & restore your favorites and notes Dark mode · All iPhone & iPad sizes FREE TO TRY, FAIR TO BUY Browse the entire catalog for free — every category, every search result, every title. Type, edit and export LaTeX formulas in one app: change a formula right in the preview or edit the LaTeX source itself; photos, images and handwriting all turn into editable code; 544 templates, a 258-symbol keyboard, live KaTeX rendering and one-tap high-res PNG / LaTeX / MathML export. Whether you are writing academic papers, preparing lesson notes, or organizing science and engineering notes, you can input, edit and export formulas in one app. Core Features • Preview editing and LaTeX code editing: the preview area is the editing area. Tap a formula to change it on the spot — what you see is what you get; you can also edit the LaTeX code directly. • Formula recognition: take a photo, pick one from your photo library, or write by hand — all are recognized as LaTeX code automatically. • 258-symbol keyboard: a custom keyboard built for formula input, with a clearly organized symbol panel (8 categories, 258 symbols: common, arithmetic, Greek letters, structures, arrows, functions and more), precise cursor dragging and LaTeX command autocomplete — much faster input. • One-tap high-res PNG and LaTeX / MathML export: save a formula as a high-resolution PNG in one tap (no watermark with Pro); export LaTeX, MathML, HTML or SVG code for papers, web pages and slide decks. • 544 formulas, live preview: 544 built-in formula templates across 14 subjects including math, physics, chemistry and computer science, ready out of the box; rendered in real time with the KaTeX engine so you see results as you type, with instant syntax hints; one-tap favorites and custom categories keep everything organized. • History and full-screen preview: editing history is saved automatically and easy to browse as thumbnails; full-screen preview appears automatically after you copy a formula. Why Formula Kit • Lightweight and fast — quick launch, smooth rendering • iPhone, iPad and Mac • Core features are free; upgrade to Pro to unlock full recognition, watermark-free export and unlimited favorites (yearly subscription or lifetime purchase) Who it is for • Students (high school / university / graduate) • Teachers and professors • Researchers • Engineers and technical writers • Anyone who needs to type mathematical formulas Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
