Memories vs SteelNote

Your brain isn't built to remember everything. Memories is. Every day you see useful information — a restaurant recommendation, a prescription dose, a Wi-Fi password, a warranty expiry date, a recipe from a friend. Most of it is gone within 24 hours. Memories is the simplest, fastest way to save it all and find it instantly when you need it. NO LEARNING CURVE. NO COMPLEXITY. Type a quick note (80 words max — because if it's longer, it's a document, not a memory). Snap photos of receipts, labels, business cards, whiteboards, or anything worth keeping. Add a color-coded tag. Set a reminder. Done. The whole process takes less than 10 seconds. FIND ANYTHING WITH AI SEARCH This is what makes Memories different from every other notes app. Our AI search doesn't just match keywords — it understands meaning. Search "when does the dishwasher warranty expire" and find a memory you saved months ago, even if you never used the word "warranty." Search inside your photos too — AI reads text from receipts, labels, documents, and screenshots automatically. PHOTOS THAT WORK HARDER Take up to 5 photos per memory. Our OCR technology extracts text from every image automatically. That receipt you photographed? The serial number on the back of your router? The ingredients list from a wine bottle? All searchable. All findable. Without typing a single word. REMINDERS THAT KEEP YOU ON TRACK Attach a reminder to any memory. "Passport expires March 2027" with a reminder 3 months before. "Car service due at 50,000 km" with a reminder next month. Your memories don't just sit there — they work for you. ORGANIZED YOUR WAY Color-coded tags let you organize everything: #home, #health, #work, #recipes, #family — whatever makes sense for your life. Filter by tag instantly. Or don't organize at all — AI search will find it anyway. It's the fastest way to save something useful and find it again when you need it. No folders. No formatting. No friction. Just capture, forget, and find. Download Memories and stop losing the things that matter.

SteelNote is a notes app built on one promise: your notes are plain Markdown files that you own. Every note is a real .md file on your device, openable in the Files app or in any editor you like, today and years from now. No proprietary database. Nothing locked away. Your notes, truly yours. Because every note is plain text, you are never trapped. Read and edit them in SteelNote, in Files, or in any other Markdown app. If you ever move on, you take your files with you as they are, in an open format that lasts. Native on all your Apple devices. SteelNote is built natively for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Your notes sync across all of them through iCloud, with no third party account and no extra sign in. Start a note on your phone and finish it on your Mac. Find anything, instantly. A local full text index makes search immediate, even in large libraries. Link notes together, see backlinks, organize with folders and tags, and turn any line into a task. Private when you want it. Mark a note as private and it stays out of widgets and AI features. Your most sensitive notes remain yours alone. Bring everything with you. Import from Bear, Notion, Obsidian and Evernote, or from Markdown, TextBundle, Word, RTF, PDF and CSV files. Your folders and structure come along. Apple Notes works too, one note at a time, because Apple offers no bulk export. Everything you expect. Add images, PDFs and tables inline. Use checklists, footnotes and links. Reach your notes from Spotlight, Siri and widgets, and hand off between devices. An open format, now standard. Markdown is a first class type across Apple platforms, and SteelNote is built natively around it. Your files are open, portable and yours. Membership. SteelNote comes with a 14 day free trial, then a yearly plan or a one time lifetime purchase. You can cancel during the trial and pay nothing, or skip the subscription and choose the lifetime purchase instead. Sync is always included and never restricted. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. A yearly plan renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period.
