IndiePeaks is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or approved by Indy Pass. IndiePeaks is a companion app for skiers and snowboarders who use the Indy Pass. The app covers all 291 resorts on the pass across 16 countries, with offline trail maps, weather and snow forecasts, live lift status, blackout dates, and a log of the days you ski. RESORT DIRECTORY Browse every resort on the pass or search by name. Sort by name, region or distance from you. Filter by vertical drop, skiable acres, terrain type, or your favorites. Compare up to three resorts side by side. Enter the dates of a trip to see which resorts your pass is valid at on those days. TRAIL MAPS 262 resorts include a trail and lift map that is stored inside the app, so it loads on the chairlift with no cell signal. Trails are colored using the grading system of the country they are in: green, blue and black in North America, and blue, red and black in Europe and Japan. Tap a trail to see its difficulty, vertical drop, length and whether it is groomed. WEATHER AND SNOW Each resort page shows current conditions and a six-day forecast from Apple Weather, plus snowfall totals from Open-Meteo for the summit and the base of the mountain. A diagram shows the freezing level against the resort's elevation range, so you can tell when it is snowing at the top and raining at the bottom. LIVE LIFT AND TRAIL STATUS 174 resorts publish a public lift and trail report, which IndiePeaks collects every 15 minutes. The app lists which lifts and trails are open right now, grouped by difficulty, and shows closed trails in grey on the trail map. PASS TRACKING Choose your pass type (Indy Pass, Indy+, Learn to Turn or Indy XC) and the app shows only what that pass covers. Each resort page tells you whether you can ski there today, how many of your days at that resort you have used, and whether a reservation is required. Blackout dates appear on a month calendar. SEASON LOG Log a ski day from the resort page, from the calendar, or from a notification when you arrive at a resort. Season stats show the number of days you skied, the resorts you visited, and a chart of days per resort. Explorer badges track the states, provinces and regions you have skied in. Enter the price of your pass and the app shows the day it became cheaper than buying day tickets. NOTIFICATIONS All notifications are off until you turn them on in Settings. You can enable snow alerts when forecast snowfall exceeds a threshold you choose, reminders before a blackout date, and arrival reminders that offer to log the day when you reach a resort. SYNC AND SYSTEM FEATURES iCloud keeps your pass, visits and favorites in sync between iPhone and iPad. Siri and Shortcuts can answer snow questions and log ski days. The app supports iPad split view, Dynamic Type, VoiceOver and dark mode, and is available in eleven languages. Weather data provided by Apple Weather. Snow data from Open-Meteo.com (CC BY 4.0).
