Slayers & Goblins is a side-scrolling action platformer that pays tribute to the unforgiving arcade classics. Choose your hero from a stout dwarf slayer, a swift elven warrior, or a flamboyant duelist, and cut a path through a grimdark world overrun by the foul and the monstrous. Eight handcrafted levels carry you from a damp goblin lair through grimdark forests, fog-bound graveyards, and the burning hellscape beyond. Goblin archers loose arrows from the ridgelines while savage orc berserkers charge the line, while giant spiders skitter from the shadows. Each level ends with a towering boss fight: bosses mounted on monstrous spiders, brooding shamans, ancient mummy lords, hulking giants, and a winged demon waiting at the edge of the world. Master ranged and melee weapons, hold to charge devastating special attacks, sprint to close distance, and chain aerial leaps to outwit the swarm. Drink from ale barrels to recover, and brace yourself for a Mighty Doom strike when a fallen boss takes one last swing. retro art steeped in menace sets the tone.
