Whether for a young child learning to express basic needs, an adult navigating daily interactions, or a senior recovering from stroke or aphasia, ExpressMe provides an intuitive, touch-based interface that translates thoughts into clear, spoken communication. DESIGNED FOR PEACE OF MIND We know caregivers need confidence that the app — and the device — will stay exactly as configured: • Password-Protected Admin Mode: All vocabulary editing and settings are locked behind a secure admin password. Users interact only with the communication interface. • Kiosk-Ready Design: Pair with iOS Guided Access to lock the device entirely into ExpressMe. Step-by-step setup instructions included. • Keep Screen Awake: Prevents the device from dimming or sleeping during communication sessions. • Factory Reset Protection: Only an authenticated administrator can reset the app, protecting vocabulary from accidental deletion. BUILT FOR COMMUNICATION • 200+ Ready-to-Use Symbols: Start communicating immediately with rich built-in vocabulary organized into 10 intuitive categories. • Adjustable Card Sizes: Four options — Small, Normal, Large, and Extra Large — for users with different visual acuity and motor skills. • Swipe Between Categories: Glide through categories with smooth transitions. Choose instant switching, a 2D slide, or a 3D cube effect. • Instant Text-to-Speech: Tap symbols to build sentences, then press Speak. Speech fires instantly — zero delay — with a visual pulse synchronized to the audio. • Customizable Cards (Pro): Create and organize custom symbols using photos from the camera or library. • Adaptive Grid Layouts: Grid sizing adjusts automatically to your selected card size, filling the screen without gaps. • Hide & Manage Symbols (Pro): Hide irrelevant symbols to reduce clutter — invisible in communication mode, easily restored in admin mode. PRIVATE & OFFLINE Works entirely offline — no internet required. All data stays on the device. No accounts, no cloud, no tracking. ACCESSIBLE BY DESIGN Full VoiceOver support. Extra Large card sizes for users with low vision or limited motor control. UNIVERSAL COMPATIBILITY Optimized for iPad and iPhone, ExpressMe ensures communication is always within reach — at home, in the classroom, at therapy, or on the go. Communication is a fundamental human right. Let ExpressMe Communicator help you and your loved ones connect, understand, and be understood.

About

Kanji Mentor

Features

Write each kanji from memory. Then see how you did. Kanji Mentor hides the character until you have tried to write it. You draw it from memory, and only then does the app show you the kanji and check your writing. Recalling a kanji before you see it is what makes it stick. HANDWRITING CHECK An AI model reviews every attempt and tells you: - whether the radicals are balanced and in proportion - whether the strokes are spaced well and the character sits centred - whether the stroke order and stroke count are right - whether your kanji is drifting toward a look-alike, for example 食 and 良 REVIEWS TIMED TO YOUR WRITING Each card comes back on a spaced repetition schedule. The interval depends on how well you recalled the kanji and how well you wrote it. A shaky attempt brings the card back sooner. A clean one from memory pushes it further out. READING PRACTICE - On and kun reading drills with wrong answers taken from the same JLPT level - Drills on the pairs of kanji you have mixed up before - Example sentences for every kanji - Stroke order animation for every kanji AFTER EACH SESSION Your score spread, drill results, and which cards are learned and which still need work. FREE - All 126 N5 kanji and 92 kana - 10 handwriting checks a day - Spaced repetition, reading drills and reference cards with readings, meanings, compounds and memory hooks KANJI MENTOR PRO - N4, N3, N2 and N1: 782 more kanji - Unlimited handwriting checks - Quizzes and drills at every level - PDF export of your progress - 14-day free trial, then $59.99 a year The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. Kanji data from JMdict/EDRDG, used under CC BY-SA 3.0.
