Ledg is a budget tracker that believes your money is nobody's business but yours. No bank login. No cloud sync. No analytics. No accounts. Just you and your budget, right on your device. — WHY LEDG? — Every budget app wants your bank password. They sync your transactions to servers. They track what you buy, where you shop, how you spend. Ledg doesn't do any of that. Your financial data stays on your iPhone. Period. — FAST EXPENSE TRACKING — Add a transaction in 3 taps. Open the app, type the amount, tap a category — done. The custom numpad and category grid are designed for speed. No keyboard fumbling. No forms. No friction. — ENVELOPE BUDGETING — Set a monthly income, allocate amounts to categories, and watch the progress ring fill up. When you hit 80%, you'll know. When you hit 100%, you'll really know. Budget rollover carries unspent amounts to next month. — SMART CATEGORIES — Start with 10 built-in categories or create your own. Each one gets an emoji, a color, and a budget allocation. Drag to reorder. Tap to edit. Up to 15 free — unlimited with Pro. — RECURRING TRANSACTIONS — Set up rent, subscriptions, and paychecks once. Ledg handles the rest. Toggle rules on and off. See upcoming charges at a glance. — CHARTS & INSIGHTS — Spending by category. Daily trends over 14 days. A budget ring that turns from green to orange to red as you approach your limit. No vanity metrics — just the numbers you need. — DATA PORTABILITY — Export your transactions as CSV. Import from YNAB, Mint, or any app. Back up as JSON. Your data is portable because it's yours. — PRIVACY BY DESIGN — • Face ID / Touch ID app lock • Privacy blur when switching apps • No analytics SDK — zero telemetry • No network requests (except App Store for purchases) • iOS Data Protection encryption at rest • No account required — ever — WIDGETS & SIRI — Budget ring on your Home Screen. "How much have I spent today?" — ask Siri. Glanceable insights without opening the app. — FREE FOREVER — Ledg is free with up to 15 categories. That's enough for most people. No time limit. No trial. No nag screens. — LEDG PRO — Unlock unlimited categories, home screen widgets, advanced charts, CSV/JSON export, and budget rollover. • Yearly: $29.99/year (70% less than YNAB) • Lifetime: $74.99 — pay once, keep forever — BUILT BY ONE DEVELOPER — Ledg is built by a developer who got tired of budget apps that spy on users. It's SwiftUI native, offline-first, and designed to last for years on your device without ever phoning home. Download Ledg. Take control of your money. Keep your privacy. Ledg Pro subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. — LEGAL — Terms of Use (EULA): https://getledg.app/terms/ Privacy Policy: https://getledg.app/privacy/
Paykeep
Read full descriptionHide full description
Paykeep gives you two numbers that matter: what is safe to spend this month, and what is still to come out of your accounts. Both are calculated from your real pay stubs, not a hopeful guess. Tap in each pay stub as it arrives. Paykeep averages what your months really paid and helps you budget off a steady share of that, say 70%. It deliberately expects less than your average, so a surprise can only ever be a good one. A steady salary gets the same honest plan, and pay that moves around, overtime, tips, shift differentials, invoices, is exactly what the math was built for. Your month runs payday to payday, and every bill knows its day. At any moment you can see what has already gone out, what is still to come, and what that leaves you. WHAT IT DOES - One steady number to live on: everything above it is a bonus - Always know what has come out this month, and what is still to pay - Months run payday to payday, so the bills reset the day you are paid - Optional weekend and bank holiday rule: pay that is due on a Saturday arrives the working day before, and bills leave the working day after, the way your bank really moves money - Pay stubs pre-fill from the last one: entry is a check, not a chore - Variable bills like groceries and electricity learn from what they actually cost - Bills sit on the accounts they leave from, and a shared joint account is tracked without touching your own totals - Group yearly expenses like tax, insurance and the service into one savings pot with one monthly amount, and the pot pays each bill when it lands - Savings pots and loans on honest bars: the goal, the plan, and the truth - A plain-words summary that reads your month back to you SET UP ONCE Ten or fifteen minutes, one sitting: your last few pay stubs, the bills, any loans, your savings. After that, about two minutes a month. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no server, no analytics. Your figures stay on your phone and in your own iCloud, and nowhere else. Paykeep cannot see your pay. ONE MONTH FREE Every plan starts with one month free: time to add as many pay stubs as you like, old ones included, and live with the prediction. After the trial, Paykeep Pro keeps the app working for 2.99 a month or 24.99 a year, cancel any time. Without Pro everything you entered stays safely visible, read-only. Paykeep is a planning tool, not financial advice. Every figure is an estimate built from your own pay stubs. Verdict
The clearest difference is device support: Paykeep at 3 against Ledg's —. Paykeep also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ledg sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Paykeep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.39 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
