PitchStill is active note training for real musicians. The app gives you a target note, plays the sound, and listens through your phone mic while you match it on guitar, bass, piano, or voice. If you know shapes, scales, or theory but still hunt for notes when it is time to play, PitchStill trains that gap directly with short scored reps. Hold your phone near whatever you play. A note appears, PitchStill plays the target, then scores how accurately and how quickly you hit it. Hit it clean and fast and your score climbs. Miss it and your streak resets. Choose your instrument, note range, and session length. Guitar and bass players can narrow drills to specific strings and fret spans. Piano and vocal users can stay inside a comfortable range. This trains note recall and pitch production on your real instrument, not passive tap-to-answer guessing. --- SINGLE NOTES Run fast note drills with a pool you control. Notes cycle in varied order so you train recall instead of memorising a pattern. --- SEQUENCES (PREMIUM) Go deeper with chord tones, inversions, and scale patterns played one note at a time. You have to match each note before the sequence advances. Difficulty levels: - Beginner: I, IV, V - the three foundation chords of any key - Intermediate: All 7 diatonic chords of a key in order - Advanced: All 7 chords, reshuffled each round - Random: All 7 chords across all 3 inversions (21 patterns) Scale mode runs the same structure: ascending, descending, thirds up, thirds down. PitchStill also tracks score, accuracy, streaks, XP, and session history so progress feels measurable. One-time premium purchase. No subscription. --- Free to download. ---

Fretone is a practice companion for guitar — six focused tools, no subscription, no streaks or badges nagging you to keep a habit alive. Just the instruments you actually reach for between practice sessions. CHORDS — CHORD LIBRARY Every common chord — majors, minors, sevenths, sus2/sus4, add9 — with real, hand-verified fingerings, not algorithmically nearest-fret guesses. Browse by key, see a chord's family and the chords commonly played alongside it, and switch between alternate fretboard positions for the same chord. DRILLS — FRETBOARD EXPLORER Explore the fretboard note by note, or drill chord changes against a real strum pattern (down-up, pop-rock, reggae skank, and more) at your own tempo. METRONOME A clean, accurate metronome with every time signature you'd actually use, swing subdivisions, and a tempo that's remembered the next time you open it. FINGERSTYLE — FINGERSTYLE TRAINER Learn and practice fingerstyle patterns with a hand diagram that shows exactly which finger plucks which string, in real time. Build your own patterns in the custom editor, chain several chords into a full fingerpicking sequence, or start from patterns you already know. REFERENCE — FRETBOARD REFERENCE Pick a note, a scale, a CAGED shape, or a key on the circle of fifths, and see every place it lives across the whole neck light up at once — pentatonic and full scales, all seven modes, triads, and seventh chords, tap any fret to hear it. The lookup a player actually reaches for mid-practice, not a quiz. TUNER Real-time pitch detection powered by an on-device neural pitch model, with a steady needle, per-string tuned marks, and a glow when every string is done. Works with 6- and 12-string guitars, bass, and ukulele. Works for any tuning your instrument uses, with a capo control that shifts what counts as "in tune" without changing which string you're touching. No accounts. No ads. No streaks. Just an instrument's worth of tools, built by a guitarist who wanted them to exist.
