About

Typewright

Features

A typing speed test that reads like a printed page: sixty seconds, real sentences, and your words per minute at the end. One round, sixty seconds, one flowing paragraph of prose. You type it as it comes, and every character is marked right or wrong exactly where it stands. When the minute is up you get your words per minute, your accuracy, and — if you have beaten yourself — a stamp on the certificate. FOUR LANGUAGES, FOUR BOARDS German, English, French and Spanish, each with its own Game Center leaderboard. Typing speed is not comparable between languages, so they do not share a ranking. SENTENCES, NOT WORD LISTS Every round is built from whole sentences: absurd, straight-faced claims about animals, household objects, and household objects with feelings. Punctuation counts. A shuffled deck deals them without repeats, so it takes dozens of rounds before a sentence comes round again. BUILT LIKE A PRINTED SHEET Warm paper, dark ink, one vermilion mark for your mistakes and your best. No glow, no confetti, no shop windows. Just the page and the clock. Free, with one full-screen ad on the way out of every third finished round. A single small purchase removes it for good, with no subscription.
