Herbal Tracker Journal

Balm is an herbal journal for home herbalists: follow every tincture, salve and syrup from first pour to finished bottle, keep your home apothecary stocked, log drying batches and save your own formulas. TRACK EVERY PREPARATION Log tinctures, glycerites, infused oils, salves, tea blends, syrups, vinegar extracts, oxymels, poultices, hydrosols, herbal honeys and fire ciders. Record the herbs, plant parts and amounts, your menstruum and how often to shake, and set the maceration period. Balm counts the days, lists on the home screen what is due within 3 days or ready to press or strain, and keeps the batch results: final yield, storage, shelf life, dosage notes and your rating. YOUR HOME APOTHECARY Keep an inventory of every herb with plant part, form (dried, fresh, frozen, powdered, cut and sifted), source, harvest date and place, amount, container, storage location, potency date and quality notes. See what is running low or nearing its potency date. Track supplies too: menstruum, oils, beeswax and containers. HARVEST AND DRYING LOG Record each fresh harvest with plant part, drying method and location, fresh weight and dried weight. If you allow notifications, Balm reminds you to check a drying batch after 7 days. FORMULAS Save your blends with purpose, ingredients with their proportions and roles, rationale, dosage, duration and cautions, so you can make your best preparations again. MATERIA MEDICA A built-in reference of 21 plants, from echinacea and elderberry to nettle, hawthorn and lavender: Latin name, actions, energetics, taste, traditional uses, preparation methods, safety rating, contraindications, drug interactions, pregnancy notes and harvest season. Filter by body system, such as respiratory, digestive, nervous system or immune. It is for learning and reference, not medical advice. SEASONAL HARVEST CARD The home screen shows what to gather and make this season, on the Northern or Southern Hemisphere calendar you choose in Profile: nettle and violets in spring, elderflower and St. John's wort in summer, elderberry and rose hips in fall, warming tea blends in winter. FREE Up to 5 preparations, 3 formulas, 30 herbs, 15 supplies and 5 drying batches, plus the full materia medica. BALM PRO Unlimited preparations, formulas, herbs, supplies and drying batches. Balm Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription that renews automatically. Cancel any time in your App Store account settings. PureWaves
Read full descriptionHide full description
PureWaves generates real binaural beats โ pure tones, nothing else. Most binaural beat apps mix the tones with rain, ocean waves, or ambient pads. PureWaves doesn't. Just the two tones your ears need, so the beat frequency reaches your brain exactly as intended. FIVE BANDS, FIVE STATES โข Delta (0.5โ4 Hz) โ deep sleep and recovery โข Theta (4โ8 Hz) โ deep meditation and creativity โข Alpha (8โ13 Hz) โ relaxed calm, wide awake โข Beta (13โ30 Hz) โ alertness and active focus โข Gamma (30โ100 Hz) โ sharp focus, peak performance A REAL SYNTHESIZER, NOT A PLAYLIST Every tone is generated live by an audio oscillator โ nothing is pre-recorded. Watch the actual waveform on a live oscilloscope display, and fine-tune the base frequency, beat frequency, and volume with synth-style knobs. Move a knob and it always springs back to the frequency chosen for that band, so you can explore without losing the intended effect. HOW TO USE IT Stereo headphones are required โ binaural beats only work when each ear receives its own tone, and speakers mix the two together in the air. Wired headphones give the cleanest, uncompressed signal. Sessions of at least 15 minutes work best, and the effect builds with consistent daily use over about a week. PureWaves is free to try for 24 hours. Unlock it once for a small one-time payment โ no subscriptions, and every future update is included for free.
