Hikez is the hiking journal for people who walk, scramble and climb. You set off, and the app keeps your GPS track, your elevation gain, your photos and the feel of the day. You get home, you relive it. And if you feel like it, you show it off. At the trailhead Start recording and pocket your phone: the GPS carries on with the screen off. Distance, elevation gain, duration, altitude and speed show up in large type while you walk. A backup copy protects your track until the hike is saved. Got a GPX file to follow? Import it: Hikez shows the way and warns you the moment you drift off the trail. Your route library has its own tab, with search, tags and sorting. Out of signal Your map is already there. It downloads itself around your routes: Kartverket's hiking map in Norway, IGN maps and aerial photos in France, OpenStreetMap everywhere else. On your wrist Start a hike on your iPhone and Hikez opens on your Apple Watch by itself: duration, distance, elevation gain, heart rate and calories in large figures, and pause, resume, finish or mark a waypoint from your wrist. With Hikez Pro, the watch also navigates: the map, the guidance, the elevation profile, and a tap on the wrist if you leave the trail. At the summit Hikez recognises the summits you reach, from a built-in database that works offline. Each one lands in your summit log. Photos, notes, sounds, the day's weather, how it felt: every hike, told. Among hikers, if you want The community is optional and free: sign in with Apple, no email needed. Post your hikes to your feed, follow other hikers, like and comment. Share your routes on the community map, anonymously, and discover other people's trails with their ratings and photos. A monthly leaderboard counts hikes recorded live. Private account available; everything can be reported and anyone blocked. Back home Every hike can become a workout in the Health app. Total elevation gain, distance, summits, time outdoors: your progress, season after season. Your notebook stays yours Your journal stays on your iPhone and in your private iCloud, with free backup for everyone. No ads, no data resale. Without an account, nothing leaves your phone. In English, French, Spanish, German and Norwegian. HIKEZ PRO • Apple Watch navigation: map, guidance and off-trail alerts on your wrist • Cinematic 3D flyover of every hike, saved as a video • Unlimited GPX library (3 routes free) • Your complete summit log (the 3 highest free) • Automatic weather added to every hike • Yearly stats and your year in review • GPX export of your hikes and of community routes • Advanced journal filters: rating, tag, region, season, period 7-day free trial for a first subscription.
