About

YardWild

Features

YardWild shows you the wildlife that visits your yard. When one of your outdoor cameras picks up motion, YardWild looks at the snapshot from that moment. When it finds an animal, it identifies the species (deer, foxes, raccoons, coyotes, opossums, squirrels, rabbits, birds and more) and adds the sighting to your timeline with the photo, the camera that caught it and a confidence score. When only the group is clear, it says so, for example "Squirrel (species uncertain)". WHAT YOU GET • Timeline: your yard's visitors, newest first. Switch between Night, Week and All, or filter by camera. It refreshes on its own while the app is open. • Species collection: a card for each species your cameras have caught, with your sightings of it and a Wikipedia summary where one is available. • Biodiversity: how many different species your yard supports, with badges as your list grows. • Cameras: see each camera's status, and choose in Settings which ones YardWild watches. • Your say: confirm an identification, or tell us it's wrong. • Notifications on your terms: all sightings, notable only, or off, with quiet hours and a digest every week or every month. • Export your sightings as a CSV file. PRIVACY • People are never identified. YardWild never names, counts, recognises or describes anyone. A snapshot can be kept when a person appears in the background, so the wildlife in it isn't lost. • Snapshots only: no live video, no recordings, no audio. • Privacy zones you set on your camera are masked on every snapshot YardWild stores. • Identification runs on hardware we operate. AWS Bedrock (Anthropic Claude) confirms bird identifications and snapshots in which a person appears, and is the fallback when our hardware is unavailable. Your images are never used to train AI models. • Stored snapshots expire automatically after about three months. Delete your account and all data from Settings at any time: your data is deleted within 24 hours, and backup copies within five weeks. • No ads, no location tracking, no data sales. SEE IT FIRST Tap "See a live demo" on the welcome screen to explore YardWild with sample wildlife. No sign-in needed. REQUIREMENTS Works with Ring outdoor cameras and an active Ring plan. YardWild is set up and managed in the Ring app: Menu → My Apps → YardWild. Identifications are automated and can be wrong. YardWild is for casual nature observation, not for security or safety. Ring is a trademark of Ring LLC. YardWild is an independent app by Erbacci LLC and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Ring LLC or Amazon.
