Promotional Text Notes drift on real wind. Catch one nearby if the weather carries it to you. Description Message in the Wind is a different kind of note app. Write something - a thought, a feeling, a fragment - and release it into the wind. It moves across a real map, carried by real weather data, until someone nearby catches it. You might catch something that started three towns away. You might release something that reaches someone else in a quiet moment. There’s no feed, no likes, and no follower counts - just notes moving through the world. HOW IT WORKS Write a note and release it. Your note drifts based on real wind speed and direction, moving when the weather moves. Open the map to see notes drifting nearby. Hold one to catch it. Read it. Keep it if it means something. Watch your own notes travel and see where the wind took them. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT Notes drift using real Open-Meteo wind data, not random placement. Minimal by design. Seal a note so it can only be opened once it has traveled far enough. Leave a trace for the author - a quiet sign that someone found it. Keepsakes let you save notes that find you, like small things discovered and kept. WIND PATRON For those who want more, Wind Patron includes Brush Lab for drawn notes, postcard themes, unlimited reads, and map pin placement. Something may be drifting near you right now.
Relative Wind Compass

THE WIND, RELATIVE TO YOU. Most weather apps tell you the wind is from 270°. Relative Wind Compass shows you an arrow pointing where the wind is coming from, relative to where you're facing right now. Turn, and the arrow moves. Cross-reference with your runway, your treestand, your firebreak, your launch site, no mental math. Built by a student pilot for anyone who needs the wind on the ground. NINE MODES, ONE ARROW • BASIC — Just the wind. Direction, speed, the relative arrow. Nothing else. • FLIGHT — Headwind and crosswind components for any runway. METAR plus winds aloft, density altitude, Zulu time, heading bug. • HUNTING — Scent-direction compass, sunrise countdown, moon phase, still-air indicator, wind-shift alerts. • BURNING — Fire-spread direction, gust delta, relative humidity and temperature, a tap-to-copy dispatch radio call, and a red banner when conditions move out of prescription. • SAILING — Apparent wind when you're moving, Beaufort force, point of sail, veer/back detector. • DRONE — Go / Caution / No-Go from your aircraft's wind and gust limits. DJI, Skydio, and Autel presets built in. • FREE FLIGHT — Flyable / Marginal / No-Fly status, optional launch-direction alignment for paragliders and hang gliders. • HOT AIR BALLOON — Winds-aloft layers (3k, 6k, 9k, 12k ft) shown directly. Steering hints when the layers diverge. • MARINE — Beaufort plus sea state, small-craft, gale, and storm advisories. APPLE WATCH The full relative-wind dial on your wrist. A complication for the watch face so you can glance at the wind without unlocking your phone. The watch and phone keep each other in sync. WEATHER YOU CAN TRUST Live surface conditions come from Apple's WeatherKit. Airport METARs and winds-aloft forecasts come from the FAA's aviationweather.gov. Barometric pressure reads from your iPhone's built-in altimeter. Everything is true-referenced, not magnetic. ALERTS, FORECAST, FEELS-LIKE Active National Weather Service alerts, Red Flag warnings for burn crews, Small Craft Advisories for sailors, severe-weather alerts for everyone — surface at the top of every screen. A one-hour wind forecast lives next to the live reading. Wind chill and heat index update with the data. YOUR UNITS, YOUR CALL Knots, mph, or m/s. Feet or meters. Zulu or local time. Cardinal points or true degrees. Set it once. PRIVACY No account. No tracking. No analytics. Your location stays on your device, it is used only to fetch weather for where you are. For pilots, hunters, prescribed-burn crews, sailors, drone operators, paraglider and hang glider pilots, balloon crews, and anyone on the water. For anyone who needs to know where the wind is coming from, relative to where they're standing, without doing the geometry in their head.
