Your AI songwriting partner. Chords, lyrics, and music theory guidance. ChordWeave helps you write songs: chord progressions for any key and mood, lyrics for your theme and style, and music theory you can hear. The AI runs on your device. PLAY & NAME CHORDS Play on the on-screen keyboard or a connected MIDI keyboard, and ChordWeave names the chord you play. Build a progression by playing, then get suggestions for what comes next in pop, jazz, blues, and more. AI CHORD PROGRESSIONS Pick any of 24 keys and a mood, and get a progression with a tempo and an explanation of why it works. Reorder chords, hear every chord, and see its notes. LISTEN FOR KEY (iOS 27) Play or sing for a few seconds, and ChordWeave detects the key and tempo on your device. LYRIC WRITING AI writes verses, a chorus, and a bridge for your mood, theme, and style, streamed as they are written. Edit and refine them in your library. SONG PROJECTS Arrange a song in sections (intro, verse, chorus, bridge, and more), reorder them, and play the whole song. EXPORT TO YOUR DAW Export any progression as a MIDI file for GarageBand, Logic, or any DAW, or share it as text. MUSIC THEORY REFERENCE Scales and modes in every key, the chords of each scale with Roman numerals, and common progressions. SIRI & SHORTCUTS Ask Siri for a chord progression, or see your recent compositions, without opening the app. 100% PRIVATE — ON-DEVICE AI All AI features use Apple Intelligence and run entirely on your device. Your songs are never uploaded to a server. When Apple Intelligence is not available, ChordWeave uses built-in music theory instead. No account. No sign-up. No tracking. No ads. Give your melody a second voice. Contrapunctus writes counterpoint. Draw a melody on a simple grid — or import a MIDI or MusicXML file — and it composes a genuinely independent second line against it: real first-species counterpoint, obeying the voice-leading rules right down to the cadence. HOW IT WORKS • Draw a melody on the timeline (leave a gap for a rest), import MIDI/MusicXML, or type it in. • Contrapunctus generates a legal counter-line above or below, updating live. • Cycle the distinct valid options — ranked best first — and pick the one your ear likes. • Shape it with two dials: how strictly it favors sweet 3rds and 6ths, and how independently the voice moves. WHAT'S INSIDE • A real rule engine — no parallel fifths or octaves, proper cadences, and a musica-ficta toggle that raises the leading tone in modal keys. • Works in every mode: major, dorian, aeolian and the rest. • Live standard-notation preview of both voices. • MIDI and MusicXML import and export — for MuseScore, Sibelius, Dorico, Finale, or your DAW. • Fully offline. No account, no sign-in, no ads, no in-app purchases. • Private by design — Contrapunctus collects nothing. Your music never leaves your phone unless you export it. Contrapunctus is by Songdeed.
