ChordWeave helps you write songs: chord progressions for any key and mood, lyrics for your theme and style, and music theory you can hear. The AI runs on your device. PLAY & NAME CHORDS Play on the on-screen keyboard or a connected MIDI keyboard, and ChordWeave names the chord you play. Build a progression by playing, then get suggestions for what comes next in pop, jazz, blues, and more. AI CHORD PROGRESSIONS Pick any of 24 keys and a mood, and get a progression with a tempo and an explanation of why it works. Reorder chords, hear every chord, and see its notes. LISTEN FOR KEY (iOS 27) Play or sing for a few seconds, and ChordWeave detects the key and tempo on your device. LYRIC WRITING AI writes verses, a chorus, and a bridge for your mood, theme, and style, streamed as they are written. Edit and refine them in your library. SONG PROJECTS Arrange a song in sections (intro, verse, chorus, bridge, and more), reorder them, and play the whole song. EXPORT TO YOUR DAW Export any progression as a MIDI file for GarageBand, Logic, or any DAW, or share it as text. MUSIC THEORY REFERENCE Scales and modes in every key, the chords of each scale with Roman numerals, and common progressions. SIRI & SHORTCUTS Ask Siri for a chord progression, or see your recent compositions, without opening the app. 100% PRIVATE — ON-DEVICE AI All AI features use Apple Intelligence and run entirely on your device. Your songs are never uploaded to a server. When Apple Intelligence is not available, ChordWeave uses built-in music theory instead. No account. No sign-up. No tracking. No ads. Drum Rack builds every drum sound from scratch. No samples anywhere — the kick, snare, hat and clap are synthesised as you play them, which is why a kick can drop from 200 Hz to 49 Hz along a curve you draw with your finger. WHAT IT DOES Four synthesised voices, each with its own controls. Draw the pitch envelope of the kick and the snare by hand: drag a point, add a point, bend the curve between two points. Watch the rendered waveform change as you go. A 32-step sequencer with per-step velocity, timing nudge and ratchets, so a single step can hold a roll of up to eight hits. Time signatures from 3/4 to 7/4, grids from 1/8 to 1/32 including triplets. Eighteen genre presets, from house and techno to jungle, boom bap and reggaeton. Each one loads a full kit and a pattern to start from. Export a loop as a WAV file, or the pattern as MIDI. The MIDI carries velocity, nudge, ratchets and time signature, and lands on the General MIDI drum map — drop it on a drum rack in your own DAW and it plays on your own kit. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO No account. No sign-in. No advertising. No analytics. No tracking. Your patterns stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded. FROM THE LAB Drum Rack is part of Lumlux Art Lab, a set of free browser tools for people who make music. The same drum machine runs on the website, so you can try it before installing anything. Made in Antwerp by FDR-Sound.
