Stop guessing your shutter speed on set. Point your iPhone at a flickering light, tap Measure, and ShutterFinder tells you the exact shutter speed that makes the flicker disappear in your footage. HOW IT WORKS ShutterFinder films the light at 240 frames per second, finds the flicker frequency with spectral analysis and turns it into a shutter speed for the frame rate you shoot at. It then checks the result at a second frame rate, which unmasks fast LED dimmers that would otherwise look like ordinary mains flicker. Within seconds you know what to set. WHAT IT MEASURES • LED panels and practicals, tube lights, HMIs, neon, monitors and TVs • LED dimmers (PWM) and OLED screens, including many that flicker too fast for the camera to see directly • 50 Hz and 60 Hz mains, anywhere in the world • Mixed lighting: when two lights flicker at different rates, the advice takes both into account and shows the alternative BUILT FOR THE SET • Shutter as time (1/50) or angle (180°), one tap to switch • 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50 and 60 fps, plus any custom frame rate • Change the frame rate after measuring and the advice updates instantly • When no flicker-free shutter exists at your frame rate, such as some tube lights at 60 fps, ShutterFinder says so and gives the setting that leaves the least flicker • Honest results: too dark, too shaky or no flicker at all is reported as exactly that, never as a guess • The circle marks exactly what is measured; tap anywhere to focus • Measuring stops by itself as soon as the reading is solid UNDER THE HOOD • 240 fps high-speed capture with automatic exposure bracketing for dark scenes • Verification at a second, and when needed a third, frame rate to resolve frequencies above what the camera sees directly • FFT analysis with Apple's Accelerate framework and sub-Hz precision • Mains frequencies locked to their exact values, so 100 Hz gives an exact 1/50 PRIVACY Everything is measured on your iPhone. No images or video are ever stored or sent. Anonymous usage statistics (no personal data, no tracking) help us improve the measurements. Requires iPhone XS or later with iOS 17 or later.

Point your iPhone at a location and see exactly where the sun and moon will be live in AR through the precise lens you will be shooting with. Viewfinder combines astronomy grade solar and lunar tracking with lens accurate framing so you can scout smarter, plan your light, and arrive on set already knowing your shots. • AR SOLAR TRACKER & MOON TRACKER A live AR sun and moon overlay sits directly on the camera feed using GPS, compass, and motion data. The celestial bodies position is calculated using the NOAA algorithm based on Jean Meeus Astronomical Algorithms accurate to +/-0.01 anywhere on Earth with atmospheric refraction applied so it matches what you see. The Moon tracking is currently in Beta and I need feedback from the community to verify that it works. * Real time sun and moon disk in frame with an edge arrow when they are outside your shot * Light phase readout Golden Hour, Blue Hour etc * Sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset times for your exact GPS location * Time travel mode to preview any date and time * Saved frames include sun and moon position, compass bearing, altitude, light phase and timestamp • SHADEMAP Pick your location, using Apple's own data Pontus Viewfinder figures out where the shadows created by buildings will depending on an exact date and time. This feature is in beta and feedback is very welcome! • LENS ACCURATE FRAMING Pick a sensor format, focal length, and aspect ratio. Viewfinder matches the iPhone camera to that angle of view. The app automatically selects Ultra Wide, Wide, or Telephoto. • CAMERA DATABASE A professional camera database with over 600 cameras including industry systems from ARRI, RED, Sony, Canon, Blackmagic Design, Nikon, and more. Every camera includes accurate sensor size data and format classification, from Full Frame and Super 35 down to APS C, Micro Four Thirds, and Medium Format systems. Use the database to match real world cameras, compare systems, and plan framing with production level accuracy. • SENSOR SIZES Medium Format, Full Frame, Super 35, APS C, Micro Four Thirds Custom focal lengths supported, plus free focal length mode where you can set any lens value you want. • ASPECT RATIOS Cinema 2.39:1, 2.35:1, 2.00:1, 1.85:1, 16:9, 4:3, 3:2 Social 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 Anamorphic 2.39:1, 1.33x on 16:9, 2.66:1 Custom aspect ratios supported • FRAMING OVERLAY AND HUD Multiple toggleable overlays for framing and composition Revised photo data UI for clearer shooting information • SHOT LIST PROJECTS Save frames into projects, build shot lists, and export to PDF Improved PDF export formatting for production use • PHOTO DATA AND EXIF Accurate EXIF writing with GPS data embedded in captured frames Cleaner photo data interface for reviewing and managing shots • CUSTOMIZATION Custom UI colour options Improved UI scaling across devices Optimised layout for readability and consistency • BUILT FOR PROFESSIONALS Designed for cinematographers, directors, camera operators, and content creators who need a fast accurate previs tool on location. Requires iPhone with iOS 17 or later.
