Taskrix
Read full descriptionHide full description
Time is the only currency you can't earn more of. Taskrix asks two questions about each task โ is it important, is it urgent โ and files it into one of four boxes. You never choose the box. You answer, and the box follows. Then it tells you the one thing no other task app will: how much of your week you actually chose, and how much of it chased you. SORT WITHOUT YOUR HANDS Taskrix reads each task aloud and asks whether it's urgent and important. You say yes or no. Driving, cooking, walking, hands full โ a pile of unsorted tasks becomes a sorted matrix without looking at the screen. Speech recognition happens entirely on your device. Nothing you say is recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. If you'd rather not use the microphone, the same questions have Yes and No buttons. THE NUMBER THAT MATTERS Every week, Taskrix works out how much of what you finished was reactive โ urgent things arriving at you โ and how much was intentional, chosen in advance. Most task apps count what you completed. Completing forty urgent things is not the same week as completing twelve you decided on, and only one of those is a week you'd choose again. ON YOUR HOME SCREEN A widget in three sizes. Point it at one quadrant, or show the whole matrix at a glance. Do Now, Schedule, Delegate, Eliminate โ whichever one you need in front of you. CAPTURE BEFORE IT ESCAPES Add Taskrix to Control Centre, your Lock Screen, or the Action Button. One press and the capture sheet is waiting, phone still in your hand. Or ask Siri โ "Capture in Taskrix" โ and say the task. It never opens the app. ASK SIRI HOW THINGS STAND "Taskrix status" tells you what's urgent, what's waiting behind it, and what that adds up to. "How many unsorted in Taskrix" works without unlocking your phone, because a number says nothing about you. Anything that reads your task titles aloud asks you to unlock first. That's deliberate. YOUR TASKS STAY YOURS There is no account. iCloud sync runs through your own Apple Account, using Apple's private database โ there is no console on the other end, and no way in. Nothing you write, say, or tag ever reaches the developer. Deleted tasks wait 30 days before they're gone for good. TASKRIX PRO 7 days free, then $2.99 a month. Cancel any time. - Sort by voice - Weekly intentions โ say what you'll protect, then find out how it went - Insights across every week you've tracked - Unlimited tags - 45 and 60 minute focus sessions, custom lengths, clock styles iCloud sync, the widget, Control Centre capture, Siri and the full matrix are all free. Just write it. ntoday takes it from there. Throw whatever's in your head at it, however messy. The next morning it puts back just the parts you need to hold on to. It doesn't tell you to get organised. It keeps things organised for you. โ Writing takes no thought One line goes to three places at once โ today's list, your appointments, and search. Hold ๏ผ and speak. You get the transcript and the original recording, kept together. Photos go in as they are. โ It brings things back before you go "oh โ right" Writing it down and never looking again is the real problem. So it looks for you. ยท 7:30 in the morning โ only what's left over and what's due today. Nothing due, nothing rings ยท 8:00 at night โ the unfinished ones, once, quietly ยท Tick things off from a widget or your Apple Watch without opening the app โ What you wrote sorts itself To-dos, appointments, where you put it, shopping, things that repeat. No boxes to set up. Writing is enough. If something lands in the wrong box, one tap on "not this" takes it out โ and it remembers the shape. โ One word pulls it back out Type "dentist" and everything you wrote about the dentist comes back on a single sheet. When it was, what it cost, what they told you. โ When something repeats, it gets a crayon mark Write "sick again" across a few days and circles appear on a calendar. It isn't a feature you switch on. The notes become the tracker by themselves. Export it as one page to show a doctor or a vet. โ All of it on this device There is no server. There never will be. What you write does not leave the phone. No account, no sign-in. iCloud sync is off until you turn it on, and even then it only goes to your own private iCloud. Codes and passwords you jot down are hidden from summaries, previews, widgets and the lock screen. โ ntoday Plus โ buy once, keep it Four more boxes (money, people, codes, scraps), iCloud sync, three months of tracker history with its widget, and three paper colours. Not a subscription. No ads. The free app has no limit on how much you write, and search, the morning and evening nudges, widgets, Apple Watch, export and the archive are **always free**. Built for people who write things down and forget them. English ยท ํ๊ตญ์ด ยท ๆฅๆฌ่ช

Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: ntoday at every 5 days against Taskrix's every 2 weeks. Taskrix's advantage is iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
