Hexasweeper
Read full descriptionHide full description
Hexasweeper is fifteen Minesweepers in one. Every rule set changes what a number means, and every board is built to be solved by logic alone. Never a guess. Classic teaches you the hex grid: six neighbours, three axes, numbers that mean something new. Then the rules start moving. FIFTEEN RULES, ONE GRID · Star: numbers see two hexes out, along all three axes · Liar: every number is off by exactly one · Snake: the mines form a single winding path · Eyesight: a number is how far the hexagon can see · Negation: marked mines count minus one · Wall, Partition, Dual, Outside, Triad, Triplet, Balance, Connected, Multiple Each rule is a different way to think. It is explained before your first tap and stays on screen while you play. NEVER A GUESS Every board, in every rule, is generated and checked so the information on screen is always enough. When you are stuck there is a deduction you have not seen yet, not a coin flip. WAYS TO PLAY · Campaign: 86 hand-tuned levels that teach the rules one at a time · Today: one board a day, and the day picks the rule. Every rule, for everyone, with a streak to keep · Endless: pick a size, a density and a rule · Blitz: the same boards, against the clock Classic and Star are free. One unlock opens the other thirteen rules and the full campaign. Optional timer, no ads, no subscription.

Minesweeper on a hexagonal board. Find every blue cell using nothing but the numbers on the board. Nothing blows up. You are not dodging anything: you are working out where the hidden cells are and marking them, one at a time. Luck is never required. Every board is checked as it is generated, so the numbers you can see are always enough. If you are stuck, there is a clue you have not read yet. ■ Three lines of rules · A number on a black cell = how many of its six neighbours are blue · {2} = those blue cells are all next to each other · -2- = those blue cells are apart A number outside the grid counts the blue cells in that whole line. Tap it and the line it belongs to lights up. ■ When you are stuck, it shows you why A hint that just opens the answer leaves you stuck again next time. This one walks you through the reasoning, one step at a time. A green outline marks the cell being solved, amber marks the clue. You see which number was read and what it counted, in order, so the next board of that shape you solve on your own. ■ Every board is new Three sizes, five difficulties. From 37 cells to 169, from Easy to Master. Boards are generated, never repeated. You cannot run out. ■ World Tour: 236 countries, 236 boards Pick a country on the map and play a board shaped like that country. From 20 cells for Vatican City to 240 for Russia, the size follows the land. Countries you clear stay coloured in on the globe. All 236 are free. ■ Freeform boards Boards that are not neat hexagons. Same rules, a different outline every time. Free as well. ■ One board a day The Daily Challenge gives you a fresh board each day. Stars fill the calendar, and a full month leaves a trophy behind. Play it as a standard board or a freeform one, your choice. ■ Your record Win rate, times, streaks and best score, kept per difficulty. Score rises the faster you solve and the fewer mistakes and hints you use. Bigger boards are worth more. ■ Made for you if · You like logic puzzles but hate guessing · You want simple rules and deep thinking · You want a short board or a long one, on demand ■ Also · Works offline · Dark mode · English and Korean · Free with ads. Forced ads can be removed with a one-time purchase

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Hexasweeper at none against Hexis's shown. Hexis's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
