Anky vs Write Once

Anky is a simple app for writing. Open it and start writing. The default target time is eight minutes. If you stop for eight seconds, the session ends. There is no backspace. These are all defaults you can change. When you're done, your writing is saved to your archive. You can also get a private reflection on what you wrote, or record yourself reading your words aloud. No feed. No followers. No pressure to publish. Just write.

Write Once is a minimal daily writing app built around one simple idea: one blank page, once a day. Start a session and write freely for fifteen minutes. There are no feeds, prompts, streak pressure, or public profiles. The timer stays out of the way so you can focus on the page. Your writing is stored locally on your device. Use Write Once to clear your head, build a small writing habit, or capture whatever is on your mind before the day moves on.
