About

Mirror

Features

Mirror is an app blocker that helps you stop doomscrolling and cut your screen time, without deleting your apps. It puts a pause before the apps that pull you in, then blocks them at bedtime, during work and once your limit is up. Most app blockers are easy to switch off the moment you want to scroll. Mirror is built for that moment: a friend can hold the key to your rules, so loosening one takes their code. A PAUSE BEFORE THE SCROLL Choose the apps that eat your time. When you open one, Mirror asks you to take a breath first. Close it and get on with your day, or continue for the few minutes you decided on. In a study of 280 people, a short pause like this cut how often they opened those apps by 57%. BLOCK APPS ON YOUR TERMS • Daily limits for each app, or block an app outright • Bedtime that blocks apps so you sleep, and work hours that protect your focus • Schedules of your own, for study, gym or family time • A daily screen time goal that blocks your apps once you reach it • Quick Block for an hour of deep focus, with a countdown on the Lock Screen • Works with Focus: hold your apps whenever a Focus is on HARD TO UNDO IN A WEAK MOMENT • A friend's key: someone you trust sets a code, and loosening a rule needs it • No Take-Backs: a rule can't be loosened while it's holding • Lock In: commit to your rules for 3, 7 or 14 days SEE YOUR REAL SCREEN TIME • Today's screen time, pickups and busiest hours, from Screen Time • Your day set against a usual day, hour by hour • A streak of days your rules held, and a weekly review • Widgets for your Home Screen and Lock Screen Less doomscrolling, less social media, more sleep. Use Mirror for a dopamine detox, a social media break or a full digital detox, and keep the apps you need. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Mirror uses Apple's Screen Time framework. Your activity, history and answers stay on your iPhone. No account, no servers, no tracking, no analytics. Requires an iPhone and Screen Time access. MIRROR PREMIUM Mirror needs a Mirror Premium subscription after setup: yearly (with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers), monthly, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period; manage or cancel in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. If a subscription ends, Mirror switches your rules off; you never have to pay to have an app unblocked.
