Haptic is a small messaging app for the people you actually want to be in touch with. Instead of just text, you send tactile patterns. Short vibration sequences your friend feels on their phone the moment you send them. A heartbeat. Maybe three quick taps to say "thinking of you." Or a long press to say "I'm here." Words can do a lot, but sometimes a touch says it better. You can also tap freely to send a rhythm exactly as you played it, and your friend feels the same rhythm back. Take your time with it. Tap, listen to it, start over, and send it only when it says what you meant. In the thread it stays drawn as the rhythm you actually tapped, so you can see the shape of a message before you feel it. Each conversation has Message mode for async chat and Live mode for being there together. Free-tap a vibe in the moment, or share a touch surface that follows your finger as you move. Long-press a friend's message to squeeze it back. A small hug they can feel later. When they're online, you'll see it. When they're in the chat with you, you'll feel it. Haptic is built around three ideas: β€’ Small. We don't run ads, we don't show stories, we don't have a feed. There's a list of your conversations. That's the whole app. β€’ Personal. Over time, you and a friend will build your own vocabulary. The patterns and rhythms that mean something only to the two of you. Three quick taps in the morning. A long press before bed. None of it is a feature. It's just what happens when you talk in touch. β€’ Yours. Sign in with Apple, change your display name, pick a color and a typeface, follow your phone's appearance or lock it light or dark, and control optional analytics and training collection with per-purpose toggles. Delete your account from Settings whenever you want. Haptic uses Sign in with Apple. There is no separate username or password. To send messages you'll add a contact by sharing or accepting an invite link. Haptic Communications, PBC is a Delaware Public Benefit Corporation. Questions or feedback: support@tryhaptic.com.

About

Tessera

Features

Tessera is an end-to-end encrypted messenger built for conversations, not profiles, feeds, or advertising. MADE FOR iPhone Duo β€’ On the outer display, the back button, the tab bar and other buttons sit in the bar along the side, and your conversation stays clear of it. β€’ Turn the inner display sideways to see your chat list and the open chat side by side. β€’ iPad gets the same side-by-side layout in landscape. β€’ On iOS 26 and later, the tab bar and buttons use Liquid Glass. NO PHONE NUMBER OR EMAIL Create an account as a key pair on your device. There is no phone number, email address, password, social login, contact upload, advertising identifier, or behavioral analytics. CONVERSATIONS ONLY MEMBERS CAN READ Text, group messages, and images are encrypted on your device using Messaging Layer Security (MLS, RFC 9420). The service delivers ciphertext and does not hold the conversation keys. ADD PEOPLE DELIBERATELY Every contact starts with a deliberate action: enter their account ID, or scan their QR code in person when identity matters most. Conversations and groups are invite-only. RECOVERY YOU CONTROL Your 12-word recovery phrase restores your identity on a new device. Tessera cannot reset it for you. Message history does not follow a restored identity because conversation keys are intentionally excluded from the backup. HONEST SECURITY BOUNDARIES End-to-end encryption protects content, not all metadata. The service can see operational information such as IP addresses, account IDs, conversation membership, timestamps, sizes, platform, and push tokens. Tessera is not an anonymity network and does not claim to resist device compromise or global traffic analysis. REPORT, BLOCK, AND DELETE Report an account from a conversation and choose exactly which text excerpts to submit for human review. Block unwanted accounts; future messages from them are stopped before delivery and do not trigger push notifications. Delete your account permanently from Settings. Tessera has not yet undergone an independent security audit. We use an open IETF standard and mature open-source components, but that is not a substitute for reviewing the finished implementation. Two halves. One truth. Privacy Policy: https://tessera.innofun.digital/privacy/
