A sentence appears. Every word is hidden. You can't type those words. You have to reach them sideways — write a search query that surfaces a page containing the word you need, then claim it from the results. Want "lighthouse"? Try "tallest coastal towers". Want "furnace"? Try "how steel is made". The web is the board. Your queries are the moves. One puzzle a day, in three difficulties. Everyone gets the same one. WHAT YOU DO • Read the blanked-out sentence • Search for something that isn't in it • Claim the target words from real search results • Finish in as few searches as you can WHAT COUNTS Your score is searches and time. Fewer, faster, better. Hints exist, and they cost you. ALSO IN THE GAME • Daily leaderboards, weekly and all-time • A 90-day archive — play any day you missed • Streaks, and achievements for the routes worth bragging about • Challenge a friend on the exact puzzle you just played • Practice replays that never touch the leaderboard • Share your route as a card, with no spoilers in it Did You Mean is a game about asking the right question.
