Simple Drones vs StringWise

Simple Drones is an app that functions as a simple tool to play a continuous note. You choose the root note, and the sound plays steadily in the background. The app also lets you control overtones, higher tones that sit above the main note and change how the sound feels. Use sliders to adjust the volume of each overtone. Turning them up makes the sound richer and brighter. Turning them down makes it softer and more pure. The app is useful for music practice, relaxation, and creating steady background sound.

StringWise is a beautiful, accurate violin tuner and a practice coach for your intonation, in one focused app. TUNE INSTANTLY - A live tuner shows the note you are playing, a -50 to +50 cent meter, and clear flat / in-tune / sharp feedback in real time. - Your four strings (G, D, A, E) are one tap away, with the nearest one highlighted as you play. - Set your reference pitch (Concert A) to match your ensemble. TRAIN YOUR EAR - Play along with a steady reference drone and tune your intonation by sound, the way string players really practice. - A clean, adjustable metronome is built in. PRACTICE WITH PURPOSE - Short guided exercises walk you through scales and arpeggios, listen as you play, and score how in-tune you were, note by note. - Insights track your accuracy, your sessions, and a daily practice streak, so you can watch yourself improve. PRIVATE BY DESIGN - No account, no ads, no tracking. Your practice data stays on your device, with optional private iCloud sync. - The microphone is used only to detect pitch, live, on your device. Audio is never recorded or sent anywhere. FREE AND PRO The tuner, drone, metronome, practice streak, two guided exercises a day, and your history are free forever.
