FocusCard
Read full descriptionHide full description
FocusCard is the app blocker you plan like a calendar. Instead of starting a timer every time you want to focus, you lay your blocks on a 24-hour grid once โ and the day defends itself. Drag a block onto the hour you want protected. Stretch it to the length you need. Choose which apps and which websites stay outside it. From then on those apps shield themselves the second the block begins, and come back the second it ends. THE TIME GRID โข A real 24-hour day view, not a list of toggles โข Drag to place a card, drag its edge to resize it โข Overlapping cards sit side by side in lanes, so a long work block and a short meeting block both stay readable โข A live line follows the current time, so you always see what is guarding you right now โข Pinch to zoom out to the week, the month, the year, or a five-year map of your habits 15 READY-MADE PRESETS No blank page. Tap a preset and it lands on the grid already timed, already repeating, already pointed at the right apps: โข Deep Work โ Morning Deep Work, Afternoon Sprint, Meeting Block โข Study โ Study Session, Exam Lockdown, Reading Hour โข Family โ Dinner Table, Kids Time โข Evening โ Evening Wind Down, Gym โข Sleep โ Lights Out, No Phone In Bed โข Detox โ Social Media Diet, News Detox, Weekend Reset THREE WAYS TO BLOCK โข Soft โ tap Open FocusCard on the shield, write your reason and take a few minutes; the block comes back on its own โข Hard โ no bypass while the block is running โข Daily Limit โ a budget instead of a ban: sessions per day, minutes per session, and a cooldown between them APP GROUPS YOU SET UP ONCE Sort your distractions into Social, Video, Games, Messaging, News and Shopping. Every preset and every new card pulls from those groups, so you never hunt through the picker twice. REPEATS THAT MATCH REAL LIFE Daily, weekdays, weekends, weekly, biweekly, monthly, every 3 or 6 months, yearly โ or just one time. Build the week you want to live in and let it run. PAUSE WITHOUT LOSING IT Drag a card to the side rail when today genuinely needs to be different. It waits there instead of disappearing, and you can drop it back on the grid whenever you want. SEE THE WORK ADD UP Every block you hold becomes a completed session: levels, streaks and a focus score that rewards consistency. A journal keeps the moments you chose to stop and think instead of scroll. PRIVATE BY DESIGN FocusCard runs on Apple Screen Time (Family Controls). No VPN, no profile to install, no account to create. Your Screen Time and app usage stay on this device: FocusCard never uploads them and never sells them. MADE FOR Deep work and meeting-heavy days. Students and exam weeks. ADHD routines that work better when the decision is made in advance. Social media breaks, dopamine detox goals, and anyone who loses an evening to the feed. BUILT FOR iPHONE AND iPAD Native, fast, and at home in both light and dark mode. Stop negotiating with yourself at 9am. Place the card once, and let the day hold the line. FOCUSCARD PRO Free keeps one card live. Pro unlocks unlimited cards, repeating schedules, daily app limits and the full card editor. Pick a weekly or yearly plan โ both start with a free trial โ or buy Lifetime once. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage them in your Apple Account settings. Lochan
Read full descriptionHide full description
Your coding agents keep working when you step away. Lochan is how you keep up with them, calmly. When Claude Code, Codex or any other agent on your computer stops to ask a question, open its real terminal on your phone, read what it did, and answer. Then get back to your walk. A CALM VIEW OF A BUSY HERD Every agent on the machine at a glance, with a line on where each one left off. The ones waiting on you always come first. - Tiles: the whole herd as a grid that moves as your agents do - Board: Blocked, Working, Done and Idle as columns you swipe through - Projects: agents grouped by the project they are working in ASK THE SHEPHERD One question, the whole herd. The Shepherd is an agent on your computer that reads every other pane. Ask it what needs you, what changed or whether anything is stuck, and it answers from what is on the screens, with a link to each pane it mentions. It runs Claude Code by default, or Codex, Pi, OpenCode or Grok. ANY AGENT CAN JOIN THE HERD Lochan does not plug into your agent. It opens the terminal the agent is already running in, so it works with Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Grok, OpenCode, Aider and anything else with a prompt. A new agent works the day it ships. A REAL TERMINAL, IN YOUR POCKET Tap any agent for the actual session: full output, scrollback and a keyboard. MAKE THE KEYS YOUR OWN Two rows of keys sit above the terminal. Drag any key to either row, switch off the ones you never use, and add your own: - Text keys for the commands you repeat, like /compact, /usage or /model sonnet - Chord keys for Ctrl, Option and Shift combos, like your tmux prefix or Ctrl-R SHARE A SCREENSHOT WITH YOUR AGENT Pick a photo, take one of the screen in front of you, or send a file. It lands on your computer and its path goes into the prompt, ready for you to finish and send. SAY IT. CHECK IT. SEND IT. Dictate a long instruction, read the transcript, and send it only when it reads right. Or write it in a real text box, with a draft that waits if you get pulled away. RUN THE HERD FROM YOUR PHONE Start a new agent in any project, rename it, and close it when it is done. BUILT FOR A PHONE Lochan tells each agent it is being driven from a phone, so it leads with the answer, keeps replies short and batches its questions. PAIRED IN ONE SCAN Run one line on your Mac or Linux machine, then scan the code it shows. Your phone makes its own key, and it stays in the phone's Keychain. Nothing to type, no private key to copy. Save every machine you own and switch between them from the title bar. No account, and no Lochan server in between: your phone talks to your computers over SSH. Away from home you need a route to them, and Tailscale is the two-minute version. ALSO IN LOCHAN: A PRIVATE AI CHAT Chat with Apple's on-device model, open models downloaded to your phone, or cloud models with your own API key. Conversations branch instead of overwriting, and you can share one with a link we cannot read. Lochan works with Herdr, the terminal workspace for AI coding agents, on the computers you own.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Lochan at none against FocusCard's 3. FocusCard's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
