Kids Mode is a parental control app for the iPhone or iPad your child uses. You choose the apps, websites and videos your child can open. Other apps are blocked, and a parent PIN protects the settings. ▸ ALLOWED APPS ONLY Choose the allowed apps. Kids Mode blocks the rest with Apple's Screen Time controls. You can also block new app installs and in-app purchases. ▸ NEW: VIDEOS FROM CHANNELS YOU CHOOSE Your child watches only the YouTube channels and videos you allow, right inside Kids Mode. • Paste a channel link or @handle, or pick from channels suggested by age • Only videos marked as kids' content can play • Shorts stay hidden in channel feeds, unless you turn them on • Video time counts toward the daily limit and follows your schedules • See watch history and set video limits Videos need the internet and play in YouTube's own player, so ads may show. The logo in the player opens YouTube, which stays blocked unless you allow it. ▸ NEW: DRAWING AND COLORING Drawing has 6 brushes, fill, stickers and more than 40 coloring pages, ordered by age. ▸ NEW: CAMERA Your child can take photos in the built-in camera. Pictures stay in Kids Mode, not in the phone's photos. Only you can save a picture to the phone. ▸ WEBSITE ALLOWLIST Use the website allowlist so only the sites you allow can open. ▸ ONE DAILY SCREEN TIME LIMIT On iOS 17.4 or later, one daily limit covers allowed apps, videos and drawing. When the daily limit is up, apps are blocked for the rest of the day. You can set a different daily limit for each day of the week, and a separate limit for one app. ▸ LEARNING MODE Learning apps come first, then games. Games open once the learning goal is met. ▸ SMART SCHEDULES Apps are blocked at bedtime, study time and family hours. Choose the days and hours once. Add more schedules and places such as school. ▸ TASKS AND REWARDS Your child finishes a task and earns extra screen time. Add more tasks and rewards such as pocket money or TV time. ▸ USAGE STATISTICS See what your child used today, this week and this month. ▸ PARENT PIN A parent PIN guards the settings. You don't need an account. ▸ HOW IT WORKS 1. Choose the apps, videos and daily limit. 2. Allow Screen Time access when the app asks. 3. Tap Switch to Kids Mode and hand over the phone. ▸ PARENTAL CONTROLS IN ONE APP • Child lock for apps, games and websites • One combined daily screen time limit • Parental app lock with custom schedules • Kids safety lock, with PIN access only a parent has ▸ PARENTAL CONTROL FOR EVERY AGE • Toddlers: a baby-safe child lock, so stray taps stay inside the allowed apps • School age: homework schedules, app limits and safe web browsing • Older children: reduce screen time with more schedules ▸ WHY PARENTS CHOOSE KIDS MODE • No account to create • A child lock app and screen time limits in one parent app • Helps keep kids safe on a shared family tablet or an old phone ▸ PERFECT FOR • Handing your phone to a toddler • Homework time, bedtime and quiet family hours • A kid safe mode on a tablet more than one child uses • A child lock app for phones the whole family shares Kids Mode gives you parental control and healthy screen time in one simple app. Kids Mode works on iPhone and iPad. Verdict
