iCameraPlus vs Vigil

iCameraPlus turns any old iPhone into a powerful security camera — no extra hardware needed. Mount a spare iPhone, press REC, and keep an eye on what matters from anywhere. WATCH LIVE FROM ANYWHERE See your camera in real time from any web browser. No extra app needed on the viewing device — just sign in to your private panel. REMOTE CONTROL Start or stop recording, switch between front and back camera, and change quality or clip length right from the web — even while you're away from the phone. RECORDING LOCK (NEW) While recording, the screen locks itself against stray or ghost touches — a pocket tap can't stop your camera. Hold the lock button for 3 seconds to unlock; it relocks automatically after 10 seconds. FLEXIBLE PLANS — UP TO 2.4 TB Choose what fits you: 2, 4, 6, or 8 cameras with 600 GB, 1.2 TB, 1.8 TB, or 2.4 TB of private cloud storage. Upgrade or downgrade anytime — the change is prorated automatically. CONTINUOUS RECORDING Records in back-to-back clips so nothing is missed. When storage fills up, the oldest clips are removed automatically to make room for new footage. SECURE PRIVATE CLOUD Recordings are uploaded to your own private cloud over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and kept in your personal archive. Browse and play them from any browser. HIGH-QUALITY VIDEO H.264 video with AAC audio. Choose 480p, 720p, or 1080p. A timestamp and camera name are stamped onto every frame. BATTERY-FRIENDLY Keep the iPhone plugged in with the app open; the screen dims automatically while recording to save power. (iOS requires the app to stay open for the camera to record.) FLEXIBLE CLIPS Set clip length from 2 to 30 minutes. Browse, play, and delete recordings right inside the app. MULTI-LANGUAGE English, Turkish, German, and French — including the permission prompts. PRIVACY FIRST Your video is recorded on your device and uploaded only to your own private archive. Audio is off by default and records only if you enable it. We never store, share, or sell your footage. Vigil is a camera built for moments when protecting a recording matters. Start recording quickly with the rear camera, front camera, or—on supported iPhones—both cameras at once. Every completed recording is automatically stored in Vigil Vault, protected by Face ID or your iPhone passcode. Choose where additional copies are saved: • Photos • A private Vigil folder in your Google Drive • iCloud Drive, accessible from your other Apple devices Vigil also includes: • Screen Curtain for a discreet, dimmed recording view while keeping recording indicators and controls available • Action Button and Shortcuts support for faster access • A configurable SOS button that hands your chosen number to the iPhone calling interface • Sharing with an optional Vigil overlay, timestamp, and recording details Cloud copies begin after a recording is completed. Availability and upload time depend on your connection and cloud-provider settings. Vigil is not an emergency service and does not guarantee recovery, authenticity, or admissibility.
