Every time you tap your card at a gas pump, ATM, or payment terminal, there's something you can't see — and it could be draining your bank account right now. Card skimming is one of the fastest-growing forms of financial fraud. Criminals attach hidden devices to payment terminals that silently steal your card data in seconds. You won't know until the charges appear. SkimGuard changes that. NEW — YOUR CAR NOW SCANS FOR SKIMMERS Pull up to any gas pump and your car's built-in screen tells you if it's safe — before you open the door. SkimGuard now runs on Apple CarPlay. Ask Siri or Google: "Is this pump safe?" Voice commands supported. SCAN BEFORE YOU SWIPE Open the app, hold your phone near any payment terminal, and get an instant result. Clean or suspicious. No technical knowledge required. DRIVES WITH YOU SkimGuard now detects suspicious devices automatically as you drive past gas stations and ATMs — no scanning required. When something is flagged near you, you'll know before you even park. HOW IT WORKS SkimGuard scans for the wireless signals that skimming devices emit. Most skimmers broadcast a signal so criminals can retrieve stolen data remotely — and that signal is exactly what SkimGuard detects. Our continuously updated detection rules mean SkimGuard stays ahead of new skimmer models as they emerge. BUILT FOR EVERYONE You don't need to know what a skimmer looks like. You don't need any technical knowledge. If SkimGuard finds something suspicious, it tells you clearly and tells you what to do next. If everything checks out, you get a green light and swipe with confidence. ALERTS NEAR YOU Get notified when you're approaching a location where a skimmer has been detected — before you get out of the car. Available to all users. YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD, SAFER Every scan contributes to something bigger. SkimGuard maps skimmer detections in real time so you can see where threats have been found nearby and which businesses are clear. Protect yourself at every swipe. Skimmer Detector uses your iPhone's Bluetooth to scan for suspicious devices commonly hidden inside ATMs, gas pump card readers, and point-of-sale terminals. Bluetooth-enabled skimmers are increasingly common — this app gives you a real-time radar to spot them before they steal your card data. --- HOW IT WORKS When you approach a payment terminal, launch the app and scan. Skimmer Detector analyzes every Bluetooth device in range against a database of known skimmer hardware signatures, behavioral patterns, and manufacturer identifiers — then tells you exactly what it found and why it's suspicious. --- DETECTION FEATURES • Known skimmer signatures — matches device names and service UUIDs against a catalog of real hardware recovered from ATMs and gas pumps, including HC-05/HC-06, HM-10, CC41-A, RN42, JDY-series, and more • Vendor identification — identifies the manufacturer behind any detected device using Bluetooth SIG company IDs • Signal stability analysis — flags devices with unusually consistent signal strength, a hallmark of hardware physically bolted inside a terminal • Dwell time detection — suspicious devices that remain visible for over 5 minutes are escalated automatically • Prior detection memory — if a device was flagged as high-risk in a previous scan, it's immediately flagged again on re-detection • Tracker detection — identifies AirTags, Tile, and other tracking devices that may have been placed on you or your belongings • Trusted device list — mark your own devices as known-safe so they never trigger false alerts REPORTING & HISTORY • Automatic GPS-tagged detection history for every high-risk event • One-tap PDF reports with device details, location, risk factors, and recommended actions — shareable directly from the app • Background scanning with instant push notifications the moment a high-risk device is detected --- IMPORTANT NOTICE Skimmer Detector is a defensive screening tool. A low-risk result does not guarantee a terminal is safe — not all skimmers use Bluetooth. Always visually inspect card readers, prefer tap-to-pay where available, and report suspicious hardware to the business owner or law enforcement. --- Skimmer Detector is developed by Wagner Cybersecurity LLC. Designed for everyday consumers and security professionals.
