Loqu8 Bible sets the Chinese Union Version beside the King James Version, verse by verse. Pinyin sits above every Chinese character, and Strong's numbers link the English to the Hebrew and Greek beneath it. Tap a word and it lights up in every language on the page. Tap "the Word" in John 1, and 道 and λόγος are marked with it while the lexicon entry opens. THREE WAYS TO READ • Reader: Chinese with pinyin, and the English, for devotional reading. • Student: adds tone colors and the Hebrew or Greek of each verse. • Scholar: adds Strong's numbers and traditional characters. Each layer can also be turned on or off by itself in Settings. STRONG'S CONCORDANCE The King James text carries Strong's numbers. Tap one to read the Hebrew or Greek entry: the original word, its transliteration and pronunciation, the definition, the ways the KJV translates it, and how many verses use it. HEBREW AND GREEK The original text runs under each verse, word by word, with a transliteration below every word. Hebrew reads right to left for the Old Testament, and Greek for the New. FOR LEARNERS OF CHINESE • Pinyin over every character, with tone colors if you want them. • Tap a Chinese word to see its meaning. • Simplified or traditional characters. ARABIC Add the Smith and Van Dyck Arabic Bible to the page, with a pronunciation guide in Modern Standard Arabic or in Egyptian, Levantine, Iraqi, Gulf or Sudanese speech. ALSO • On a computer, search by reference, such as John 3:16, or by words in English or Chinese. • Copy a verse in any of its languages. • Side-by-side columns on a wide screen. • Larger or smaller text. • Dark mode that follows your device. PRIVATE BY DESIGN There is no account and there are no ads. The whole Bible is inside the app and works offline. The app does not report what you read or search for, and anonymous usage data stays off unless you turn it on. FREE All 66 books, 1,189 chapters and 31,102 verses, with no in-app purchases.
