A hundred years ago, someone stood here and pressed the shutter. The world moved on. Now you're standing in the same place, ready to take the photo again. re.photos is a worldwide community archive of before-and-after photo pairs – historical photographs placed side by side with their present-day counterparts, taken from the very same spot. Slide between the two and watch a street, a square, or a coastline change across decades or centuries. EXPLORE Browse thousands of comparisons contributed by people around the world. Move the slider and the past becomes the present, then the present becomes the past again. Open the map to see where each pair was made – and find ones near you. CAPTURE The hardest part of rephotography is lining up the modern shot with the historical one. The live camera guide does it with you in real time: small arrows nudge you left, right, up, down, closer, farther, until the framing matches. Press the shutter and the app finishes the alignment for you. Already taken the perfect shot? Pick it from your library and let the app do the rest. CONTRIBUTE The archive includes a growing list of "image templates" – historical photos still waiting for someone to come back and take the new one. Find one near you, head out, and add the present-day match. Or upload a complete pair of your own. Everything you publish appears on re.photos for the world to see. BEHIND THE APP re.photos began as a research project at the University of OsnabrΓΌck. Today it's carried by an independent team that genuinely loves the mission of capturing and showing how places change over time. This app was made possible by the generous support of the Sievert Foundation. Available in English, German, and French.

About

Simple Pose

Features

Stop guessing how to stand. Simple Pose puts the outline of a pose right on your viewfinder and leaves it there while you compose. You are not memorising a photo you saw a minute ago. The pose is on the glass, where you are already looking. HOW IT WORKS 1. Pick a pose from real photos, not diagrams. 2. Open the camera. The outline lands on your live view. 3. Line up and shoot. THE OUTLINE STAYS OUT OF THE WAY Your viewfinder never fills up with someone else's photo. Only the outline sits on screen, so the beach, the stairs, the cafe behind you stay visible while you frame the shot. TUNE IT UNTIL IT FITS Drag it where your subject should stand. Scale it to their distance. Fade it down when the background is busy. Mirror it when the light is on the other side. Then lock it, so a stray thumb cannot nudge it while you line up. TWO PHONES, NO HELPER Travelling alone? One phone on a tripod, one in your hand. Pair them with a short code on the same network. Watch the preview, change poses, zoom and fire the shutter from where you are standing, inside the frame. The photo is saved on the phone with the lens, where it belongs. PLAN BEFORE YOU GO Build a set of poses at home the week before the trip, name it, and open it straight into the camera when you arrive. A REAL CAMERA UNDERNEATH The overlay sits on top of a proper camera, not a stripped-down preview. Colours stay true, the shot stays sharp, and the photo lands in your library at full quality. NOT A POSE LIBRARY. A POSE CAMERA. Pinterest already gave you the ideas. This is what happens next. SIMPLE POSE PRO Pro unlocks the written guide on Pro poses, where the eyes should sit in frame, which camera mode to use, how far back to stand, and removes ads. Weekly, monthly and yearly plans. No account. No sign-up. Your collections stay on your phone. SUPPORT US Simple Pose gets better every time someone tells us what broke or what is missing. Write to us, we read everything.
