Hexys vs Pray Break

Hexys is a privacy-first recovery app built for those who want to break free from habits and take control of their lives. Your data is yours. Every journal entry is encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM. Hexys cannot read it, even if it wanted to. No ads. No data selling. No shame. Track your streak day by day with a simple daily check-in. When urges hit, the Help Button gives you immediate tools: a breathing exercise, a grounding technique, a mirror to look yourself in the eye, and calming sound therapy. No waiting, no searching, just help right there when you need it. Write in your encrypted journal. Talk to Arcos, your AI companion, who understands recovery and responds without judgment. Join a Pod, an anonymous group of five people at similar stages, for real-time accountability without exposing who you are. Invite an accountability partner to support you. They see your streak and check-in activity. They never see your journal. Level up through seven stages (Hexed, Aware, Resisting, Breaking, Unbound, Forged, Hexys) by earning XP for every check-in, journal entry, and challenge completed. Celebrate milestones at 1, 3, 7, 14, 30, 60, 90, and 365 days. Read science-backed articles and listen to curated podcasts on recovery and neuroplasticity. New research spotlights publish automatically every week from PubMed. The iOS content blocker lets you block adult sites at the Safari level. No VPN, no configuration, just on. Hexys is free to start. A subscription unlocks Arcos, the community, accountabiliity partners, pods, and the full sound library. Optional Faith Mode integrates Christian scripture, devotionals, and prayer for users who want a faith-based recovery experience. You’ve prayed about it. You’ve promised yourself you’d stop. And when temptation hits, sometimes you need more than another reminder to “stay strong.” PrayBreak is a Christian app built for that exact moment. Press and hold our signature Break button, then move through three simple steps designed to get you out of the urge: LOOK — Get out of the fantasy.
PRAY — Turn your attention back to God.
MOVE — Break the physical pattern. In just a few focused minutes, PrayBreak helps interrupt the spiral before it becomes another decision you regret. This isn’t another devotional you read and forget. It’s a response you can use when the urge is happening right now. OPTIONAL BREAK THE URGE EXPERIENCE Need an even stronger interruption? Turn on the immersive Break the Urge experience. On supported Face ID iPhones, PrayBreak uses the TrueDepth camera to confirm your eyes are closed before the strobing light begins. Nothing is recorded, stored, or transmitted. BUILD YOUR DEFENSES BEFORE TEMPTATION HITS The easiest urge to beat is the one you make harder to reach. Adult Site Shield helps block adult websites, while App Shield lets you limit access to selected apps using Apple’s Screen Time controls. Set your boundaries ahead of time so you’re not relying on willpower alone in your weakest moment. YOUR 90-DAY FREEDOM PATH One urge. One day. One decision at a time. Track your streak, complete daily check-ins, and move through milestones on your path toward 90 days. If you fall, come back. Progress isn’t about pretending temptation disappeared. It’s about becoming better prepared for the next time it shows up. BUILT AROUND FAITH PrayBreak combines Christian prayer, Scripture, focused attention, physical movement, and practical boundaries into one tool built for the moment temptation hits. Because knowing what you should do isn’t always the problem. Sometimes you need help doing it in the moment. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your struggle is personal. There’s no public profile and no social feed. We don’t sell your data. Your journey stays private. WHO PRAYBREAK IS FOR PrayBreak is for Christians who are tired of repeating the same cycle and want a practical way to respond when temptation hits. Maybe you’ve prayed. Maybe you’ve promised yourself “never again.” Maybe you’ve built a streak and lost it. PrayBreak gives you something to reach for in that exact moment — before the urge makes the decision for you.
