About

BudgetFuture

BudgetFuture answers one question: how much can I spend today, once future income and bills are accounted for? Most budgeting apps look backwards, sorting what you already spent into categories. BudgetFuture looks forwards. Enter your income and bills once, and your available money is worked out for you — today, at month end, and the months ahead. Your bank balance can't tell you. It looks healthy the day before a month's direct debits leave, and says nothing about the rent due before payday. BudgetFuture knows what's coming and when, so the number you see is the number you can act on. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT • Dates matter, not just the month's totals. A big bill early in the month and the same bill just after payday are completely different situations, and BudgetFuture treats them that way. It walks through your month day by day and catches a squeeze before payday that a month-end total would hide entirely. • Two figures, not one. "Today" is what you can spend right now without waiting on money that hasn't landed. "For month" is the fuller picture once everything settles. Together they show whether you're short for a few days or short for the month. • On your home screen. A widget shows Today on its own, or Today and For Month side by side, so you can check without opening anything. • No categories, no tagging, no pie charts. Nothing to maintain, nothing to study. Just the number that matters BUILT FOR REAL MONTH-TO-MONTH LIFE • Recurring bills and income carry forward automatically — weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, every 30 days, monthly or yearly. Edit one month without disturbing the rest, or update every month ahead. Set and edit how many times an entry repeats • Entries sit as Pending and mark themselves Paid on their due date — nothing to tick off. Set the ones that need manual authorisation. Pay Manually entries will flip to Due Today, then Overdue until you confirm. Anything still unpaid when the month turns stays on your dashboard • Notification reminders for manual entries only if you want them. Turn them on and BudgetFuture notifies you at 8am when a bill is due, and again the next morning if it is still outstanding • Credit card spending is tracked separately from your cash, against your real limit, so new card debt never quietly inflates what looks spendable. Don't use a credit card? Everything works the same without it • Set aside money each month for future big bills with a dedicated feature • Planning to move money to savings? Log it like any other outgoing, one-off or recurring • Compare against your real bank balance any time, to catch a missed entry before it distorts your forecast TWO KINDS OF CUSHION, AND YOU CHOOSE • Safety Min: set the lowest you want your bank balance to go during the month, and BudgetFuture keeps that amount out of what you can spend, warning you if you would drop below it • The Next Month Payday Buffer: set aside enough to cover next month's bills before next month's income arrives — the gap that catches people out. BudgetFuture suggests an amount from what you have already entered for next month YOUR DATA IS YOURS No account. No sign-in. No server. No bank connection. No analytics, tracking, or advertising of any kind. You enter your own figures and they stay on your device. Because your data lives on your device rather than in someone's cloud, you can export all of it to a file whenever you like — to your Files app, iCloud Drive, or straight to another device — and import it back on a new phone or your iPad There's currently no automatic sync between iPhone and iPad TRY IT PROPERLY FIRST Free for 90 days, with a planning window fixed from the day you install: one month back, three months ahead Premium is a single payment — no subscription, ever. It lifts the planning window to a rolling thirteen months ahead and three months back for editing, with two years of history. If the trial ends and you'd rather not buy, nothing is deleted. Your entries are read-only
