Prisme

The problem isn’t a lack of time to think. It’s not knowing what to ask yourself. You open a journaling app: a blank page. You take a personality test: four letters, a score, a label you can neither check nor contradict. You try meditation: you’re asked to stop thinking, when what you wanted was to think better. Prisme does the opposite. It asks the question, you bring the answer. And it never concludes anything it can’t back up with what you actually wrote. AGAINST THE BLANK PAGE One card a day, always free. Tap it: it turns over and reveals the question that goes one step deeper. Answer with a word, a sentence, your voice, or a photo. 144 cards, eight territories — Self, Emotions, Relationships, Past, Thoughts, Life, Hardships, Deep questions. And “I’d rather not answer” is always an option, with no consequence. A widget keeps your question of the day on your Home Screen. AGAINST LABELS 46 mirrors that place you on an axis, with no ranking between the two ends: there is no right side. Each one says, when it opens, what it cannot conclude — the one about closeness states plainly that it does not describe any “attachment style”. Your portrait takes shape as you explore, and when your answers aren’t enough, it leaves the space empty rather than guessing. AGAINST THE PRESSURE TO PERFORM No streak to keep alive. A reminder only if you want one, with the question waiting for you — never to make you feel guilty, and nothing on days you’ve already answered. Paths of seven rituals, three to eight minutes each, with a small step suggested every day, chosen according to the energy you report — never an obligation. On days you arrive running on empty, Prisme offers a gentler question and keeps the planned one within reach. TOGETHER Send a question to someone: each of you answers on your own phone, without seeing the other’s answer, then your two answers appear side by side — no score, no verdict. The exchange travels through a link you send yourself; Prisme receives nothing. YOUR MONTH Every month, what you explored: reflections, territories, words chosen more than once. Facts, nothing more. AGAINST THE FEAR OF BEING READ Your answers never leave your phone. No account to create, no server, no tracker. Everything can be exported and everything can be erased, photos and voice notes included. In three months you’ll be able to reread what you think today — that’s often where it gets interesting. And when a question stays with you, share it as an image: only the question, never your answer. WHAT PRISME WILL NEVER DO No diagnosis. No personality score. No sentence about you that isn’t grounded in an answer you gave. And nothing designed to compare you with anyone else. PRISME+ All eight territories in full, the 46 mirrors, the deep sessions, every follow-up question and your complete journal. One mirror stays open in each shelf, without a subscription, so you can see what it’s like before you pay. Prisme is not a substitute for a health professional or for therapy. It’s a notebook that asks good questions. PRISME+ SUBSCRIPTION Prisme+ monthly: one-month subscription, renewable. Prisme+ yearly: twelve-month subscription, renewable. Prisme+ lifetime: one-time purchase, no renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the current price until cancelled in your App Store account settings, at least 24 hours before the end of the period. In the United States, the yearly plan starts with a seven-day free trial for a first Prisme+ subscription: nothing is charged during the trial; when it ends, the subscription is charged at the displayed yearly price and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Verdict
While We Can and Prisme are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. While We Can sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Prisme sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
