Overtrain turns your trip across rail networks into a more immersive experience. Pick where you're going, start your journey, and Overtrain shows you the next station, arrivals, and transfers on a simulated LCD panel - the same one you see above the doors in a train. The simulated LCD panel floats above your apps, and there is also a Live Activity that lets you glance at where you are at on your journey. Plan a journey in seconds - Search any station and set your route from, to, and via - Choose the train or route that fits, with real departure times - Avoid specific lines, and tune walking speed - Save your regular trips to start again in one tap Stay updated during your ride - A train-inspired simulated LCD panel shows your position, the next stop, and the stops ahead - Choose from various LCD panel styles, inspired from styles from Japan, London trains, and from fiction - Picture-in-Picture keeps the display floating while you use other apps - Live Activities put your next station and delay on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island Built-in and customized train lines - Choose from built-in railways operating in Tokyo, Saitama, Yokohama, and more - Direct "through" services and skip-stop express trains are supported - Build your own custom lines, and also additionally share or and import custom lines - Fully bilingual in Japanese and English, with faithful station-name typography Note: Overtrain uses public railway timetable data, and is built and maintained by a single developer. Railway timetable may become inaccurate with time, and providing feedback is possible from within the app.

On a train in Japan, the next station stays on your Lock Screen for the whole ride. No unlocking, no searching, nothing to type in first. Nextation is made for railways in Japan, and works only there. ■ The next station, without unlocking your phone The station you have just left, the station you are heading to, and a rough arrival time — on the Lock Screen and on the Home Screen. The line you are riding is worked out from your location; if that estimate is wrong, you can pick the line yourself. Open the app and you see up to five stations ahead, in order. ■ Station names in Latin script Station, line and prefecture names are shown in the Latin alphabet — the same spelling you see on the platform signs and on the display inside the carriage. The dictionary is built into the app, so nothing is looked up while you are moving. A small number of stations are missing from it, mostly local tram and light-rail stops; those keep their Japanese name rather than a guessed spelling. ■ The alarm counts stations, not metres Register the station where you get off — and the station where you change trains, if you have one. Nextation tells you one stop before it, and again just before you arrive. Announcements on Japanese trains are not measured in metres; neither is this. One stop ahead is enough time to gather your things and reach the door. Each saved route can be watched every time, or for a single trip. Where the line cannot be identified, the alarm falls back to distance from the station. ■ Live Activity and Dynamic Island While you are riding, the next station sits in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen — even while you are using another app. ■ Readable at a glance The station name is the largest thing on the screen and everything else stays quiet. The line colour tells you which line you are on. ■ Privacy Your location is processed on your device. It is not sent to, or stored on, any server we run. There is no tracking and no advertising SDK. (To resolve station and line names, only the coordinate being looked up is sent to a public API each time. The privacy policy explains this in full.) Available in English, 日本語, 한국어, 简体中文, Français and Español. Please note: coverage depends on the station data provider, and stations outside Japan cannot be found. The list of upcoming stations follows the local-train stopping pattern, so a rapid or express service may pass some of the stations shown. Positioning is less accurate underground and in tunnels. Continuous background location use consumes battery.
