TimeTrack

Where did today actually go? TimeTrack answers that in three taps. Name what you're doing, start the stopwatch, stop when you're done. Work hours, study time and deep work all land in one simple time log. No account. No cloud. No setup screen between you and the timer. NEW IN 1.6 • Focus blocks: switch the timer from Stopwatch to Focus blocks for Pomodoro-style work. Pick 25·5, 50·10 or 90·15 minutes. A set is four blocks with a break between them, every block is saved as a normal session on its label, and an alert tells you when a block or a break ends. • Timesheet export: your hours as a CSV file, one row per session, day or label, ready for a spreadsheet, a client or your manager. • Weekly recap on Insights: last week's total, the change from the week before, your most-tracked label, your best day and your longest session. • Daily goal: set a goal from 30 minutes to 8 hours by tapping the line under the timer ring, or in Settings. The ring fills with everything you tracked today, and the percentage keeps counting past 100%. • Theme colors: preview any of the 8 colors before you pick one. SIMPLE ENOUGH TO ACTUALLY USE Most time trackers ask you to build a project hierarchy before you can log a single minute. This one opens on a big start button. Everything else — labels, notes, reports — you can add later, or never. THE TIMER KEEPS RUNNING Switch apps, lock the phone, take a call. The timer carries on and picks up exactly where it should. Forgot to start it? Add the session by hand afterwards. Left it running overnight? Auto-stop, set to the duration you choose, catches that before it ruins your week's data. A focus block ends on time and is saved even if TimeTrack was in the background. LABELS THAT MAKE SENSE OF IT Color-coded labels with icons for the things you actually do — Work, Study, Client A, Deep Work, Gym. Sub-labels when a project needs breaking down. Favorites for the ones you track every day. A note on any session. REPORTS THAT TELL YOU SOMETHING Today, week, month and year views. Stacked daily bar charts, colored by label. A 13-week heatmap of when you focus, so a good month and a bad month look different at a glance. Streaks, average session, longest session and your most productive day. Search your history by session, note or label, filter it by label or date, and edit or delete any entry. YOUR TIME LOG STAYS ON YOUR PHONE No account, no sign-up, no cloud sync. Your sessions, labels and notes are stored on your device, and the timer and reports work on a plane, in a basement, and on a phone with no data left. TimeTrack shows ads, which need a connection; Premium removes them. Export everything to a JSON file and import it again, merged with what you have or replacing it. Schedule automatic backups to your phone's storage, daily or weekly. WHO IT'S FOR Freelancers tracking hours per client. Students who want to know how much they really studied. Remote workers protecting deep work. Shift workers keeping a simple log of their hours. Anyone who suspects their time goes somewhere other than where they think. FREE, WITH AN HONEST UPGRADE TimeTrack is free to use, with ads. Five labels are included; a short optional video adds one more, or gives you two hours without ads. This week's timesheet is always included; an older period takes one short video per export. Keep one theme color by watching one video. Premium is a single one-time payment, never a subscription: no ads, unlimited labels, all 8 theme colors and every timesheet period. Available in 18 languages.

Verdict
TimeTrack and Readme Later are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. TimeTrack sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Readme Later sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
