Aquarium brings the films, shows, music, audiobooks and Live TV on your own media server to iPhone, iPhone Duo, iPad, Apple Watch and CarPlay. Created with Artificial Intelligence. Pick your server from the ones found on your network, sign in or approve a Quick Connect code, and Home picks up right where you left off. WATCH • Your files play as they are: MKV, DTS, TrueHD, Dolby Digital and PGS subtitles, with no conversion on the server. • Auto quality plays your downloaded copy first, then the original file, and steps down only when a connection struggles. Pick a quality in the player to keep it. • Watch upright or sideways, with audio, subtitles, quality and Up Next one tap away. • On iPhone Duo, fold the phone halfway and the film plays on the top half with the controls, Up Next and the TV guide below. • Skip intro and credits, an Up Next card with autoplay, and a sleep timer. • Audio and subtitle choices remembered for each series, and a forced-only subtitle setting. • Picture in Picture, AirPlay, lock screen controls, SharePlay, and Handoff to your iPad or Mac. LISTEN • Music and Audiobooks tabs appear whenever your server has those libraries. • Stations built from what you play, with a mix you tune yourself: twenty points to spend on familiar, favourites, discovery and more. • Surprise Me, a shuffle that learns from what you finish and what you skip. • Top songs, new music, and lyrics that follow along. • Song Info on any song: its tags, your plays and the file's format. • Playlists you can create, reorder and edit, plus smart playlists built from rules. • Audiobooks with chapters, playback speed, 15- and 30-second skips, and your place saved to the server. • Gapless playback and a mini player on every screen. DOWNLOAD • Save a film, an episode, a season or a whole series, plus songs, albums and audiobooks. • A disk-space check shows what fits before you start. Downloads keep going in the background, carry their subtitles, and can be paused. • Watch or listen offline; your progress syncs back when you reconnect. APPLE WATCH • Audiobooks and music on your wrist, signed in by your iPhone. • Stream over Wi-Fi or cellular, or keep books and playlists on the watch and leave the phone behind. Your iPhone carries the downloads over, with Sync Now on both sides. • Use the watch as a remote for what your iPhone is playing. • Digital Crown volume, chapters and speed, and a Smart Stack widget. CARPLAY • Discover, Library and Audiobooks on your car's screen. BROWSE • A rotating spotlight from your library, then Continue Watching, Next Up and what's new. • On iPad, a grouped sidebar, floating glass bars over the artwork, and a two-column title page. • Sort, filter and search every library, with an A–Z index; favourites and watched status. • Detail pages with cast, similar titles and exactly what the file is. • Live TV with a channel guide. • Spotlight search, Siri and Shortcuts, and a Follow widget for a show. • A collection of app icons to choose from, including seasonal ones. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No analytics, no tracking and no account of its own. Aquarium talks only to your server. • Your sign-in stays in the keychain, and settings sync between your devices through iCloud. Requires a Jellyfin server (10.9 or later) that you run or have an account on. Aquarium does not provide any content of its own. Jellyfin is a trademark of the Jellyfin project; Aquarium is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by it. About this app: Aquarium's code was written with AI assistance (Anthropic's Fable and Opus), directed and tested by one developer, and is shared as-is.
