Chinese vocabulary, 10 words a day. Today's 10 are waiting when you open the app: new words and the ones you're about to forget, mixed for you. Mistakes are fine. Pronunciation Check shows which sound was off and how to fix it. This app is for you if: • You can read a word but miss it when you only hear it • Nobody is around to tell you whether your pronunciation is right • Handwriting, required from Level 3, worries you Remember: see each word again before you forget it Today's session is 10 words. The app mixes new words, words you are still learning, and words you're starting to forget. Each correct answer pushes the next review further out, to 1, 3, 7, 21, 60 and then 180 days; a wrong answer pulls it back in (spaced repetition). A word counts as "mastered" only after four correct answers on separate days, and it drops out of the count as soon as you start to forget it. Your Record tab shows the words you really know today. New words per day: 5, 10, 20, or no limit when the test is close. Listen: understand by sound alone Every one of the 5,000 words comes with Chinese audio, an example sentence, and the meaning read aloud. Turn on auto-play and it moves to the next word with the screen off, so you can study by ear on your commute. Set the speed (0.75×–1.5×), repeats (1–3) and the gap between words (0–3 seconds). The audio is built in, so it works offline. In Listening Quiz you answer from the sound alone. This is where you find the words you can read but cannot yet hear. Read: use words inside sentences Fill in the Blank uses the same format as the HSK reading section: choose the word that fits the gap. The Reference tab explains 253 grammar points from Level 1 to Level 6, each with examples. Grammar Fill-in turns those examples into gap-fills, in the order of the notes, from Level 1. Get one wrong and the explanation is one tap away. Write: one stroke at a time, by hand From Level 3, the HSK asks you to write characters. In Stroke Order practice you write each stroke with your finger or Apple Pencil, and the app tells you the moment the order or direction is off. If you get stuck, the next stroke lights up. All 2,663 characters in the HSK vocabulary are covered. Speak: find out which character came out wrong In Pronunciation Check you listen to the audio and repeat it. The app tells you right away whether it recognized the word. If not, it shows which character sounded like what, and how to fix it. About 4,200 words of two or more characters are covered. Recognition runs entirely on your device; your voice is never sent anywhere. AI coach: decide your next move "Your week, by AI Coach" in the Record tab looks at your past 7 days and lists the words to practice next, the pairs you mix up, the words to relearn by ear, and the grammar points involved. One tap starts a session with exactly those words. "Words to go" shows how many words remain for your level and how many weeks that is at your current pace. The AI on your device only turns those facts into a short note; it never makes up meanings or pronunciations (on devices with Apple Intelligence; other devices get the same numbers and next steps). Pinyin from the ground up The initials, finals and tones tables come with audio. Pinyin Input accepts answers with or without tone marks, and ü typed as v. Anytime, on any device Your word progress syncs between iPhone and iPad through iCloud. Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show a word and move to the next one every hour. Start studying from Control Center or Siri, and search any word from Spotlight. Study reminders arrive at the time you choose, and a weekly review comes on Sunday evening. iPad and iPhone Duo On iPad and an open iPhone Duo, the word list and the word detail sit side by side. Close it and stand it on its side, and the detail becomes one card that auto-plays to the next word. Half-open, the tappable word and the writing box stay off the fold. Pick your level and start with today's 10 words.
