GridCam is a camera for people who decide the frame. The composition guides directors work with, the manual controls a cinema camera has, and color profiles graded from scratch. Everything a frame needs to look cinematic, live in the viewfinder, before you press the shutter. COMPOSE FIRST Rule of thirds, golden ratio, phi grid, golden triangle, leading lines, center dominance, symmetry, frame in frame and more, drawn over the live image. Save the ones you use and swipe between them. MANUAL CONTROLS White balance in Kelvin, shutter, ISO and focus, each on its own dial. Focus peaking marks what's sharp. Zebra stripes mark what's blown out. AE/AF lock holds a reading while you recompose. Pinch to zoom across every lens, and your manual settings carry across the lens change instead of snapping back to auto. FILM LOOKS Color profiles applied live, so you see the result while you compose rather than after. Film grain and halation are rendered on top of the image, not baked into the profile. RAW WHEN YOU NEED IT Capture unprocessed DNG with the full latitude for editing. Keep the ungraded frame alongside the finished one, and change the look on any saved shot later without touching the original. READY WHEN YOU ARE Home Screen widgets and a Control Center control put the camera one tap away, with your last shot on the Home Screen. Composition Camera Guide

Features

An offline, step-by-step guide for portraits and food photos. It includes 8 guided lessons—4 people and 4 food—with 24 shooting tasks. Each lesson builds a 3-photo set. For every shot, you get one step at a time for light, framing, camera position, direction, and timing, and every step includes a visible “Why it works” explanation. After all 3 shots, the lesson summarizes 3 lesson-specific photography ideas you can apply in other scenes. Each shot is followed by 3 concrete checks and one focused change for the next try. PEOPLE — 4 GUIDED LESSONS • Café window: safe portrait, cup interaction, window mood • Street: full body, leading-line walk, layered wall portrait • Backlight: clear face, golden rim, sunset environment • Neon night: clean face color, light-line full body, rain reflection FOOD — 4 GUIDED LESSONS • Coffee: backlit steam, clean center, pastry story • Brunch: window-side main, overhead plate, full-table story • Dessert: whole plate, layered detail, three-point table • Low-light hot pot: pre-heat table, bubbling center, steam and space For each photo, the app gives you one step at a time: 1. Find the light 2. Clear the frame 3. Set camera position and zoom 4. Direct the pose or arrangement 5. Press the shutter at the right moment There are no scores and no face retouching. Answer three concrete checks after each shot. If one check fails, you get one specific change and return to the camera to try again. You can also browse 8 people scenes and 9 food scenes with matching composition, pose, arrangement, and lighting examples. Camera tools include tap focus, exposure control, zoom shortcuts, timer, live level, composition guides, reference-image overlay, and filters.
