Ebbi is a day planner and focus timer that puts your day on the clock. Type what you need to do, tap how long each task will take, and Ebbi lays it out in order, with a start time on every task and a finish time for the whole plan. If a task runs long, add a minute or five and everything after it moves, so you can see where the day stands. Made for adults with ADHD, and for anyone who loses track of time. PLAN • Type a task, then tap how many minutes it gets. • Tasks of 25 minutes or more split into shorter blocks, with a short reset between them. Change the blocks any time, or turn splitting off. • A reset is a different thing to switch to: water, a short walk, the dishes. Rename or replace any of them. • Until you start, DONE AT shows when you would finish if you began now, and it moves with the clock. • Load a starter plan when you would rather not build one. FOCUS • One task at a time, counting down inside a ring, with the next item named underneath. • A live finish time for the session updates as you add time, take time away, or pause. • Plus and minus 1 and 5 minute buttons change the current task without restarting it. Finish early, skip, or go back a step. • 12 soundscapes plus Silence, including white, pink and brown noise, rain, ocean, cafe and lo-fi. White Noise and Lo-Fi come without Pro. REVIEW • See the tasks you finished and the minutes you focused. • Open a past session to see each task's planned minutes next to the minutes it ran. • By default, each day starts with a clean plan. STRUCTURE THROUGH SCIENCE Ebbi's core design choices trace to published research, graded in public at ebbi.app/research, including where the evidence is thin. • A 2022 meta-analysis of 27 studies found children and teens with ADHD judge time less accurately and less consistently. Ebbi keeps the clock on screen so you don't have to hold it in your head. • Across 94 tests, deciding in advance when and where you will act helped people reach their goals (Gollwitzer and Sheeran, 2006). You set the order before you start. • In 87 students, rest planned in advance brought less fatigue and distraction than rest they timed themselves (Biwer and colleagues, 2023). Resets are on the schedule. • A 2024 meta-analysis of 13 studies, mostly in children, found white or pink noise helped a little on lab attention tasks in young people with ADHD or attention problems, and hurt a little in others. Sound is optional. • In 543 adults who reported an ADHD diagnosis, how kindly people treated themselves tracked with how they were doing (Beaton, Sirois and Milne, 2022). Ebbi's end-of-session screen starts with what you got done. Sources are in the app under Settings, The Science Behind Ebbi. Ebbi is not a medical device. PRO Ebbi is free to use, with the limits listed below. Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription, and new subscribers can try it free for 14 days through the App Store. You know what to do. The hard part is starting, switching, and knowing when your brain will actually cooperate. Tempo learns those patterns — your energy rhythms, your real transition costs, your reliable focus windows — and hands them back as concrete daily guidance. Built for adults with ADHD. 100% on your iPhone: no account, no cloud, nothing uploaded — the privacy label reads "Data Not Collected". WHY TEMPO IS DIFFERENT Most productivity apps hand you a to-do list and assume that starting, switching, and landing on time are free. For ADHD brains, those are the whole game. Tempo doesn't ship generic templates or streaks — it learns how one specific brain works: yours. A MORNING ENERGY FORECAST Last night's sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, today's calendar — even the tone of your recent journal entries — become one honest capacity score — with the "why" behind it, so you plan the day you actually have, not the day you wish you had. TRANSITIONS THAT LAND Tempo learns how long switching really takes you — after deep work ~15 minutes, after a walk ~5 — and counts down on your Lock Screen: "Standup at 14:00 — start wrapping up around 13:40." Small, concrete micro-actions you can edit make the switch real: close your tabs, water, phone on silent. ONE-TAP CHECK-INS After an event ends: "How did that go?" Energizing, draining, hard to start — one tap, five seconds, straight from the notification. Always skippable, capped per day, silent during your quiet hours. No streaks, no guilt. PATTERNS WITH RECEIPTS "After a short night, meetings feel draining 80% of the time." Every insight is computed from your own data, shows its evidence count and confidence, and never appears until it's statistically real. Never noise, never astrology. AND MORE • A gentle nudge when you've been deep in one thing past your planned length — water? snack? • A searchable evening journal that finds tone, themes, and blockers — analyzed on-device — with your sessions and check-ins on one day-by-day timeline • One-tap decision logging — name the ones that cost you, and spot your decision-heavy days • Home Screen widgets: Daily Forecast, Next Hours with readiness scores, and your journal rhythm • A monthly report that reads like a friend explaining your month • Light and dark themes with six calm accent colors, in 10 languages PRIVACY, FOR REAL No server. No account. No analytics, no trackers, no third-party code. Everything — including the AI — runs with Apple's on-device intelligence. Export it all as one JSON file, import it back on a new iPhone, or erase it all, any time. Your patterns are nobody's business. FREE AND PRO Free forever: session tracking, one-tap check-ins, your schedule with wrap-up times, weekly stats, and 14 days of history. Tempo Pro adds the morning energy forecast, pattern insights, transition Live Activities, journal analysis, readiness on widgets, the monthly report, and unlimited history — as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription (7-day free trial) or a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your App Store account settings. Tempo is a self-knowledge and routine-support tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace professional care. Verdict
The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Ebbi at 17.0 against Tempo's 26.0. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Ebbi sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Tempo sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
