Walk first. Scroll later. ScrollBreak helps you make room for a daily walk by keeping distracting apps on pause during the hours you choose. Set a step goal that fits your day, read your progress from Apple Health, and unlock your selected apps when you reach your goal. Choose up to three apps for free, customize weekday and weekend goals, and set your blocking schedule. Open ScrollBreak to refresh your steps; updates from Apple Watch and other Health sources may take time to sync. Take a 500, 1,000, or 2,000-step walking break. Follow your daily progress, build a streak, and celebrate milestones. If you need brief access before reaching your goal, emergency breaks give you five minutes at a time, up to three times per day. Optional Premium adds unlimited app selections, longer progress views, a habit calendar, and Live Activity support. Weekly and annual subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Current prices and any eligible introductory offer are shown before purchase. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings. No account is required. Your step history and app choices stay on your device. ScrollBreak does not upload health data or use advertising or analytics SDKs. Sharing a progress card is always your choice. Requires permission to read steps from Apple Health and manage selected apps with Screen Time. Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: ScrollBreak at none against Walking Tracker's shown. Walking Tracker's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. ScrollBreak sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Walking Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
ScrollBreak ships an update every 6 months, Walking Tracker fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
