Dawn is the calm, beautiful place to read Markdown on your iPhone. And now, to edit it right where you read. These days your AI assistant answers in Markdown — headings, lists, code, tables. On a phone, that usually shows up as a wall of raw symbols. Open it in Dawn and it becomes a page worth reading: clean margins, real hierarchy, a comfortable line length, and type set the way a good book is. And it isn't only AI. Your notes, your READMEs, your documents — any .md file reads beautifully here. EDIT ON THE PAGE • Double-tap any line to start writing exactly there — no separate editor, no raw symbols • Bold, italic, headings, lists, checklists, links, quotes, and code from a slim bar above the keyboard • Add formulas and diagrams, and see them render as you type • Changes save back to the same file in Files or iCloud, front matter and all • If a file changed somewhere else, Dawn asks before anything is overwritten WHAT DAWN RENDERS • Full CommonMark and GitHub Flavored Markdown • Syntax-highlighted code blocks that collapse out of the way • Tables that scroll sideways instead of breaking • Math, written in LaTeX and set with KaTeX • Diagrams, drawn from Mermaid • Task lists, nested quotes, footnotes, and frontmatter — folded into a tidy Properties strip BUILT FOR READING • Pinch to size the text exactly how you like it • Light, dark, and automatic themes • An outline you can open to jump between headings • A slim progress line so you always know where you are • A measured column width that keeps long lines easy on the eyes YOUR FILES, YOUR WAY • Open Markdown straight from the Files app or iCloud Drive • Send a web link from Safari and Dawn fetches and renders it • Recent documents group themselves by Today, Yesterday, and This Week • Pin the ones you keep coming back to, and search across names and contents SHARE BEAUTIFULLY Select any passage and share it as plain text, as Markdown, or as a polished image card with syntax highlighting — ready for Messages, X, or anywhere else. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no sign-in, no tracking. Your files stay on your device, and nothing you read or write is sent anywhere. Everything renders on-device, so Dawn works with or without a connection. Requires iPhone with iOS 17 or later.

Anycap keeps everything you find in one private library on your iPhone: links, social posts, articles, notes, pictures, files and voice memos, all stored as plain Markdown that stays yours. SAVE THE POST, NOT JUST THE LINK Tap Share in Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Reddit or Safari and it lands in your Inbox with its title, author, cover and text, so it is still there when the page changes. In Safari, the Anycap extension saves the page you are reading in one tap. CAPTURE IN A SECOND Tap + and type: the first line becomes the title. Paste a link and it becomes a card. Add a photo, a file or a recording without leaving the field. Ask Siri to save something to Anycap, or put Anycap in a Shortcut. The widget puts capture, a new note and your Inbox on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen. READ IT LATER, WITHOUT THE NOISE Articles and posts are kept in full, readable offline, without the banners. Long reads and videos get a short summary: what it is, then the points worth keeping. Summaries run on your iPhone with Apple Intelligence, or through a provider you connect with your own key. Nothing leaves the device unless you connect one. ORGANIZE, OR LET IT ORGANIZE ITSELF Folders, tags, pins and an archive, arranged the way you think. Tidy reads what is waiting in your Inbox and proposes where each capture belongs and which tags to add, and nothing moves until you say so. Collections gather folders, tags and captures into one brief. FIND IT AGAIN Full-text search across every capture, including the words inside your pictures and the text of what you saved. Search by meaning finds what you meant, not only the words you typed. WRITE IN MARKDOWN Notes are plain Markdown: headings, lists, checklists, quotes, code, and links from one note to another. The bar above the keyboard writes the marks for you. Export the whole library as Markdown files whenever you like, and open them in any other app. YOURS, AND PRIVATE No account, no sign-up, nothing collected, no ads. Your library lives on your iPhone. Turn on iCloud sync and it reaches your other devices through your own account, never through ours. There is an Anycap for Mac as well, reading the same library. Anycap requires iOS 18 or later. On-device summaries need an iPhone with Apple Intelligence.
